This series showed Mazzula’s inexperience. He inherited a good team that went to the finals last year. He let’s the team run itself. They love their narratives. The higher you get, the more fun it is to tear you down. Anyone who has had a back injury understands why Giannis was missing freethrows. One minute he was moving well, the next he was hunched over on the sideline getting his back massaged. That's simply how back injuries work. One moment the pain seems manageable, but you move just a little in the wrong direction and it becomes excruciating. Also, so many of these dudes wanted Lakers V. Celtics so they could play clips of Magic vs. Bird from 40 years ago. That said, it did suck that Tatum got hurt and Brogdon wasn't available, but injuries are just part of it. @@JM-ds6iu yes because in team full of "talent" that is the celtics that broadcasters love to bring up. the heat, with like about 1 20+ pt scorer and a bunch of "undrafted role players" as the broadcasters also say match up? obviously we won, so huh i guess we are better but its all about optics, its always tatum and brown and then all the starters around them are supposed to be just as amazing when you listen to the media, then they talk about the heat and it was nothing all season and when they talked about the heat recently the narrative has been "jimmy and the magic undrafted role players! doing the impossible" and so if thats the case and the like one or two other acclaimed players we have on the heat team are out, leaving just "jimmy and the undrafted role payers!" then how were supposed to have been better off than the team with like 5 round 1 picks? because of a last game injury? we had a 3 percent chance at winning this series according to analysts, and even had some new injuries during the series (gabe vincent, etc) but one or two celtics injuries apparently bridges that 3 percent chance we had with or roster? yea no. maybe according to our win that was true in the end i guess but a stacked them like the celtics should be more prepared with an injury or two than an already 8th seed riddled with injury, healthy we were apparently no good, so what does that mean for us injured?

It’s the same thing that’s been missing for the last 5 years. They don’t have a floor general. They lack attention to detail. They don’t communicate. Their star players turn the ball over more than anyone in the league. It’s not working because it’s never worked.

The Celtics don’t have what Damian Lillard said a few months ago in a JJ Redick interview. That todays NBA lacks that special ingredient that old NBA had. He explained it the best in that interview.
A real three point shooter
They don't have a true Point Guard.
Greenie should be suspended for the remainder of the NBA Playoffs its so stupid
Well the problem is they have a point guard who can’t do point guard things and he feels he’s a great 3pt shooter when he really isn’t yes he’s a great defender and a very good player Marcus smart will be able to help another team but the Celtics don’t really need him they need a playmaking pg a guy who’s gonna dish out 8 or 9 assists a game and they need to understand that most of their team is filled with guys who are good defenders drop the golden state 3 point barrage act and make the identity of the team defense even if that means getting rid of mazzulla
Biggest problem is their coach sucks. Their previous coach ruined it for them by having an affair with someone in the organization.

You can't have 2 inconsistent stars as your main players. They should really sign and trade Brown for either another star wing or a frontcourt guy. Robert Williams is a great defensive center but he's just so brittle that they can't play him consistently. Mikal bridges is a good candidate for a good scorer and defender that can replace brown.
Lol you knew Espn would make it all about the team that lost 😂
Joe should have sat jt and played around jb for the rest of the game. 42 min on bad ankle is stupid. Kawai Load-Management would have been out for years for that. Remember zaza

That zone defense of miami fcked them up. You can clearly see everyone in miami wants to play defense
i havent watched it yet, but im guessing they are going to blame the coach and not the players
No Big Market teams in the Finals, will the TV Ratings go down?
Miami showed some grit after that tough gm 6 loss!! But tatum shouldnt have been on the court if he couldnt play defense....offensively he was moving fine just not hitting anything......on d he was baddd
there is nothing wrong with the Celtics. This was a grinding series and the Heat simply have more grinders going right now.
As a heat fan that has watched my team battle the Celtics these last 3 out of 4 playoffs, I think they desperately need a point guard to calm things down and setup Tatum and brown
The Heat were one Jimmy shot away from being in the Finals last year. The Heat are a better team. Period.
If...and only IF....you move JB then you need 2 back. Dame and another spark plug dont sound bad to me. On another note, what happened to Malcolm Brogdon? MIA series: -27 +/- 34 points 3 blocks 1 steal 8 assists 13 boards 77% on 9 FTAs 16% on 18 3PAs 30% from the field on 39 shots
Big man, smart is a good 6th man better guard to support Tatum
At least JB & JT held themselves responsible for this lost, especially JB. Unlike this year’s NBA REGULAR SEASON MVP.
No matter how many times Dame says he’s not leaving Portland the media still tries to get him to leave.

They need Veteran Strength with Playoff history!! We can grab Van Vleet .. and Veteran tough PF /C or a Jerami Grant type
Celtics don't have the floor general. They have the shot makers but not the guy to put everybody in right place, Most teams that usually is the point guard. You can go very far with Jason Tatum but not all the way it seems.
Boston need a rebounder a 6'10 to 7' foot rebounder and shot blocker ...
It’s always the people that want to bash Jays and at the same time request the Jays to be on the team. Which one is it. I think the entire league is afraid of the potential of the Boston Celtics if they stay together and that’s the real reason why other franchises are requesting the trade
They need a Bill Russell, you have to play Defense and you can't have 5 guys hanging around outside the 3 point line on offense.
The problem in caltics team is if you put pressure on JB and MS they disappeared because they can not play under pressure so this is the problem in the team so everything is good but the team can not play under pressure when the opsite team keep scoring and they dont play ball movement just 1 vs 1 ball so they cant win like this especially in the finals..
It's called a great coach to take'm to the next level. They run a pedestrian system. Yes, even in the first half of the regular season when they had the best record. Their bread and butter is just 1. drive and kick and 2. shooting 3's over people. They're big, plodding, and lack precision. Tatum/Brown are great players but "streaky shooters". Going behind a screen and hoisting a jumper is a low percentage shot. That's a gift to the other team if you do that with the talent you have.
I don’t understand why Celtic fans want to trade JB, him and Tatum haven’t even reached their full potential yet and y’all already giving up on them

Not a Celtics fan but 1 of them won’t grow to the full potential next to the other. It isn’t like a klay and Steph type, because both of them can be #1 on a team
Tatum should have worn the jacket with Ray Allen on it instead of Garnett.
As a Celtics fan, Heat has more grit & heart which the Cs lack
Only difference between Udoka & Mazzulla - both had 50 % playoff record, one of them won game 7 against Miami in ECF, the other one lost. Not so much difference as people think there's to be.
Bruh said if you can go a whole day weight taking a nap you can't hang with him lol
They need someone who can be a Kevin Garnett. A player with heart, intensity, passion, and leadership.
I'm not splitting them two up, both of them like 25. The reason in my opinion why they struggled soo much is because they were relying on their talent to get them by, they didn't run any plays. It's a small window for teams that are contending. Granted Mazzulla only had one year but I'm moving on to a coach that the players will respect.

other thing that I don't think gets talked about is how much Brogdon's injury hurt them. These issues were exposed during the finals last year. They signed Brogdon for that very purpose. If you're Brad Stevens you seriously need to consider doing what OKC needed to do a few years ago and what the Jazz did this past offseason and just part it out and get what you can back in draft capital Something isn't working whether it's the players or the instability in coaching the last 3 years or some combination of everything. Like those old OKC teams, this Celtics team on paper should be able to win at the highest level they just aren't. Admit you were wrong and mishandled a lot and start over
