This is beautiful 16 year old Anabel Sweeney of Wicklow, Ireland. Anabel won the contest held in Ireland to choose a guest singer to sing with Celtic Woman in their newest concert, "Homecoming". We were there at 3 Arena in Dublin and heard and saw the taping. Anabel is adorable and was wonderful under the tutelage of Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, formally of Celtic Woman...now CW Voice Director.

You know, shuboyos...you would have loved being there in 3 Arena that night...watching Anabel sing...with .Meav, as CW's Voice Director and Anabel's music tutor right there....and...see all of those standing and shouting out in the audience? They are the wonderful kids from Anabel's high school...cheering her on...Meav had done a wonderful job in bringing out her confidence. Anabel sang just like a pro!!

@@SchwarzeWitwe2 I agree! Eva sure knew how rearrange songs like this one compared to the original. Seen many people sing Eva's arrangements of songs without people realising that was where it first came from. This arrangement was from Eva's album "Songbird" released about 1998.

I'm here because Dan Rather recommended three versions of "Fields of Gold" in his Substack newsletter yesterday, and this was one of them. I've now watched 3 times and have cried every time... there are no words to describe the beauty of her voice, or the poignancy of this song. I kept picturing the golden fields of Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, and so many other ravaged and war torn countries, where fields of gold often become fields of gray. We must do better... for the children, and for everyone's "field of gold" whatever that imagery might mean to them. Peace.

I was very moved by this song. However it took a little digging just to find out your name because you were not a regular member of the Celtic Woman. I tear up every time I hear this song, It is a song that brings a wide range of emotions to me from joy to sadness, grieving to hope. Both Stings' and Eva Cassidys' versions are better for me ....this arrangement was a bit messy in my opinion, the girl tries too hard to sing Cassidys version for the most part and she hasn't got the maturity in her voice to pull it off ...

This brought a lump to my throat, going through some tough times with the recent loss of my beautiful Helen. truly blessed to be married to this amazing lady for 24 years. a true inspiration and blessing to those who where fortunate to know her fly with the angels Helen you deserve it .

She sings like an angel. I'ts not just her voice that is amazing, its the whole performance and the way she does the tempo variations in the performance is simple amazing, its something not even many experienced singers can do.

I miss the fourth singer on the Celtic Woman. Four singers gives a softness and vocal harmony to the group. Anyway I love Celtic Woman. Anabel is amazing! Beautiful and sweet voice!

What an absolutely lovely version of this song. Her voice is rather Angelic. She has such beautiful tone and stage presence. She embodies the song with her voice, movement, grace and beauty. My favorite version, besides the original by the man himself, STING!!! And the pianist's accompaniment is spot on and helps to elevate and compliment her voice, as it should be.
