in the Czech Republic it is very popular. Every child and adult knows it. The catchphrases from the first two films are mostly known...and genial songs from animated movies as well :D Comics are mostly known to the older ones, they were popular here during communism.

why do these gauls have norse inspired things and tattoos? the Germanic tribes were quite a bit away from where those two lived.

Before Norse culture expanded (Suebi et al.) The celtic people use to own much of Europe until rome came and then the Germanic tribes took most of Europe what's left of the celtic tribe is Scotland Ireland Wales Brittany isle of man.
