logic in cell machine is kinda limited because the number of cells at one given time can only go up, because there's generator cells to create cells but nothing to destroy them. i guess a good way to solve this is to mod cell machine so that a generator cell can generate enemy cells. then there would be a good way to destroy cells which means that we maybe could make logic gates that trigger more than once. edit: thanks for the heart fanhalo edit 2: well bye heart edit 3: now you see it, now you don't, now you see it

If it's possible to determine a certain cluster of cells, then you may be able to calculate using negatives? I.e. Have two cells together equal (-)1 and one sell alone equal (+)1.

@@hadrienlondon4990 that was a very interesting watch. I just thought since there's no way to currently remove bits (packets, numbers, whatever) then you could create a symbol of an inverted one. I don't know how this would fall under binary logic gates, as this may count as a different base-system.

I knew about Sam Hogan before this game was made. No games really got very popular, so when this was made I expected the same. Seems crazy how it got so popular.

Amazing! I can't imagine the Cell Machine community is so big. Conway's Game of Life creations are nothing compared to this.

that's because making something in CGoL is so much harder than SHsCM, SHsCM has a lot of cells for moving, blocking, rotating, and destroying, CGoL only has 2 states, alive or dead, since it's easier to cause chaos in CGoL than SHsCM because people cant really wrap their head around what's gonna happen 10 gens later, you have to create so much modules for destroying, moving, rotating, and blocking, and you have to place those modules perfectly to the state of the glider, 1 misplaced cell will just create chaos and you won't know what caused it, SHsCM has direct cells which are universally understandable and you can wrap around what will happen a few generations later.

@@n.itrogen Yeah I know, but CGoL community is much bigger and making something big, like the CGoL Turing machine, will be way too laggy. And there are way too few tools for creating compared to CGoL.

no its not Turing Complete, as it cant reset itself, but if you could delete stuff and reset the bits then it could be. I suppose tho, in theory, if you made a big enough simulation could program you own reset function, tho that would be absurdly ridiculous and kinda cheeting. so guse we land on it being "Turing Complete'ish"

i made a calculator too. It can add and subtract, but displays numbers in binary
