She shouldn't be embarrassed at all. She's a real badass for publicly bringing light to a disease I'd never heard of, for sure. I watched my dad suffer with a different terminal disease and there's nothing like the helplessness that comes with your body giving out on you. Sending her as much peace as she can possibly find in all of this.

Who said she's embarrassed??? if she is, she would've kept the video private which I think she should. This is a private moment that the public should not see. I don't know why she wants the public to see it. I do feel sorry for her having to go through the suffering. Wishing her the best.

I had a friend who had CRPS, and she would videotape how it affected her, as hardly anyone she knew ever heard of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I had two friends who had it, one that had it brought on after a fall where she broke her foot. The other, she probably acquired it due to living for years nearly flushed where a cellular tower was. People with these conditions mostly die from su1cide or accidental opioid OD, usually after a pain pump is installed. 😢

She recovered after 40 minutes, not after those 8 minutes they showed us in the documentary. In some cases it can last way longer than that. She's a saint and she's a warrior. Celine brings so much awareness to this rare disorder ❤️ I hope they'll find a cure for this asap. I love Celine so much ❤️❤️❤️

This is literally my life for the past 7 years. It’s changed my whole life and I’m also working on a documentary as well to bring awareness. The few times I seen this happening to others it makes everything in my body tense up and I start to feel a seizure coming. I’m praying for her.😢😢😢

I agree. I think she feels guilty for cancelling the shows but those who love her don't care, we just want her to be healthy.

I absolutely love this new wave of famous people using their fame to highlight the devastating impact that an illness can have on someone's life. I am sure her grace and spirit will go on.

She deserves nothing but pure respect. As a singer, an icon, and a woman bringing this disease to light when many have not heard of it. That is beyond bravery. This was so sad😢 to see her in that moment but she should not feel embarrassed at all. What a strong lady.

Glad she can afford the medical and help. Imagine so many people who do go through this and can’t get the help they need

Shes only 22 and the government is denying her medication and medical exams, etc. Theres a cure in the states, currently being tested in Canada, and they told her parents she cant even be a testing patient for the American medication being tested.. Apparently she has a “genetic mutation” so instead of helping her, theyre refusing her everything and telling the parents to pay 350k+ a year out of pocket… Just so she can take the med being tested on people for free to ensure its safe in Canada. But Celion Dion? 100% gets the royal treatment and will get anything and everything they want. 😂

Never be embarrassed by something out of your control. As others have stated already, she's a total badass for allowing people to see her this vulnerable--it educates people on the seriousness of the condition and hopefully provides more awareness for research. Smart, warrior woman.

It's not fatal though on average it can lower life expectancy, probably due to falls and the like but not directly.

It’s very rare to pass away from SPS directly, but in severe cases it can tighten the muscles in the chest area making it difficult to breathe

She's so strong and brave for doing this. She's a warrior for everyone who has had to endure something similar to what she is now. She gives them a voice. One of the greatest singers of our lifetimes. She always will be, and now she's also a hero. I wish her all the strength she needs

I also have an auto immune disease, it’s debilitating and there’s nothing doctors can do as it’s your own body attacking itself. I have myoclonic seizures so I’m aware as my body spasms.

I have those too. Ive always had temporal lobe seizures and developed these several yrs ago. My first 1 i was laying on my stomach and my arms flew upward, my legs upward where i went into a curved shape. Hurt my back. Sometimes its 1 arm 1 time, or both arms or legs flying up and it happening over and over for 10 or 20 minutes. All depends. Similar for you?

She's getting old, is normal for old people to have health issue.

She's always been this powerful woman with legendary vocals. Must be especially hard for her losing control over her own body, never knowing when seizures will happen.

I saw the documentary yesterday and it was an emotional rollercoaster. I truly believe Celine means it when she says "I will not stop". I really admirer her for that.

This was an incredibly difficult and sad documentary for me to watch...I see someone who is so determined to get back to singing and entertaining her fans. I have all of her CD's, yes I said CD'S 😊 and I remember watching her at the arena in Fort Lauderdale in Sunrise many years ago as she sang "My Heart Will Go On" She is and will always be one of the very best singers of all time!!! This was the saddest part of this documentary. I had heard about this episode, but wasn't ready for the emotional impact of seeing someone so vulnerable, scared, in pain....I felt somewhat ashamed that I was watching it from the comfort of my home. I understand why Celine insisted on keeping this segment in the documentary, but man, it was so hard to watch. Thank you to Celine for raising awareness of this rare disease and I pray for Celine, her family and all those afflicted with this disease.
