I'm from St. Petersburg and I follow hockey. and I saw Demidov's game, it's a mix of Kucherov and Mogilny, I think he will be able to realize his talent. Good luck to the guy

@@Douelle777 Kaprizov is faster… I would say more of the speed of Kucherov, Nikita looks like he has speed but he just uses his edges a lot and is a very smart player always in the right spaces and always dishes the puck in the right places always aware of the play before it develops… I see the same in Demidov… I’m not saying Demidov will be as good as Kucherov because Kucherov is a special talent who got 100 assists which is not done very often, But I see more Kucherov/Patrick Kane in Demidov… I do not see any Kaprizov in Demidov…

Not really. That's extremely far fetched. Even if he becomes as good as some of the best from the more modern times, such as Suzuki, Pacioretty, Kovalev and Koivu, it would be a big surprise.

Я бы так не радовался, не зря Монреаль считают кладбищем талантов. Столько высоких пиков драфта у них было и никто из хоккеистов толком не заиграл. По мне так Антону Силаеву которого выбрали под 10 номером Девилз больше повезло. Потому что команда на ходу.

You know what, I think he could have been a solid 2nd overall pick and habs got him of the 5th pick. It's a great player and really can't wait to see him in action... in the 2025 season.

What an incredible draft by Montreal tonight- not only did we see Celine Dion come out to announce the draft selection by the Canadiens , Demidov- the best skilled player in the draft, she did not sing though,- that would have gone a long time- but spoke better French than clown Gary Bettman. Demidov will be amazing to watch. Maybe Chicago made a mistake there. We shall see

The Canadiens crossed their fingers last year by picking Reinbacher because they saw such a good defenseman in him for the future, they already saw Demidov in their soup last year and wanted him more than Michkov. They rolled the dice and won the jackpot. Yes They love Ivan the hockey player alot but Kent Hughes and the rest of the organisation love even more Ivan as a person. Amazing kid apparently with great character. Only the futur will tell, but I think the Canadiens we're extremely lucky. They are building an amazing team for the future and Demigod, sorry Demidov 😉 is exactly what the team was missing. A pure offensive talent.

I love how Celine stretched out the selection and the reaction fantastic pick.
When I was watching this live, I actually yelled at the TV for the _long drawn out dramatic pause_ before she announced Demidov’s name. She couldn’t announce it fast enough for me. Of course it was nothing personal, I’m just too damn inpatient. Great move by the Habs to bring Celine in to do this. Much better than Carey Price. 😜
