despite what popular psychology theories teach it was actually about *both* of those points *for some of us* who can divide these individual concepts into being 2, yes, separate but related thoughts..again, for *some* of us and our own, personal/subjective feelings/perspective..I remember this & can get in touch with those same feelings today if I allow myself to go there.

This is my first time hearing Celine sing this beautiful song. Janis Ian is a treasure, Celine honored her with a gorgeous interpretation. ❤

Do you think she's competing with the original singer? she's giving the tribute to Janis song, and nothing more. Even other singers, cover the songs of their idols but it doesn't mean that they are competing.

This performance is just magical.. It's not usual Celine (Huge notes and dancing) but this performance is not just a perfect example of her technical skills but the pure beauty of her voice.. It's like fresh, first morning of summer, the smell of sea and new leaves, blue blue sky with soft little clouds and the sound of little children playing with laughter and joy :) Amazing Celine!

What I love about Celine, is she has NOTHING to prove. She is arguably the BEST SINGER ALIVE TODAY and yet she doesn't need to add all these crazy riffs that we all know she can do EFFORTLESSLY and FLAWLESSLY. But if the song doesn't call for it, she won't do it. She RESPECTS each song. Something that too many singers don't do. Christina Aguilera could take some advice from Celine.

Thanks Celine for doing such a beautiful, respectful tribute to this story.

This performance is truly stunning. It's always difficult to cover a well known and well loved song without the big chance of ruining it or falling under immense scrutiny but Celine not only showed courage by performing it at the Grammy's but she absolutely nailed this song to the wall. She looked beautiful and delivered a flawless effort, the band did a great job with the music as well.

Absolutely magical....she just sits there with words pouring out her mouth and I'm utterly spellbound!

This was perfect. Celine did the song and artist proud

She is beautiful inside and out. She may not have been the prettiest of girls (her opinion) but she has always been a beautiful woman. Those eyes, that skin and those cheekbones, and that figure and hair. Please!

i was a teen when this song came out by Janis Ian i think it speaks for all that did not fit in as a teen. Celine knocks it out of the park with this one it tugs at my heart and brings back memeories

Obviously you don't know a thing about her. And why should you, if U dislike her anyway. Actually she turns out to be one of the most friendly, kind, modest & empathic famous Stars. You say the way she comes off is arrogant? What if she just didn't want to make a big deal out of her singing this great song. Although she did sing it amazingly and i believe for lot of people it was the big deal. If you see arrogance in this, i'm afraid you have misunderstood all the good people in your life too.

It doesn`t matter what she sings, or what she produces, it always sound fantastic. What a talent she has, and she stays a down to earth women, with her ups and downs and struggles. What a beautifull woman she is.

Ha! I had no idea until now that Celine, one of my favourite singers, actually introduced the nomination of one of my other favourite singers. Who actually didn't need to trust Celine on it as she already had won 22 Grammys at that time. And ended up making it a total of 27 by the end of those Grammy Awards
