not realy plenty of well looked after exampled about i find if u go on the forums and pages people that sell them to other people who love them usualy well looked after and well documented what has been done to it

Looks like the ctr hit the limiter at 1:11 because it stopped accelerating for a second that’s when the celica caught up

Good race.... ctr's normally edge it over 100 but there isn't much between them tbh :)

You would have had that in the bag if you had a better launch! Good effort afterwards though!

He wouldn't the Type R driver hit the limiter and didn't change gear in time, when the Celica caught up.

Interesting vid, shoes the Celica to be slightly quicker than EP3. The trajedy of this though is that the EP3 clearly better than my old FN-2...what were Honda thinking.

yeh i didnt get off the line too good either so made it look worse ... ep3 is definetly better than the fn2 its uglier and heavier with basicaly no more power to substitute the weight.

I live in greece and i have a celica gts(t-sport).celica is better car and always type r see my back..To drive a celica and take the max power of the car isn't so easy..as we see in the race the driver must keep the rpm over the 6.300!celica t-sport is an amazing car!!!love it

My celica(t-sport)smoke every stock Honda typer(k20).The only upgrades to my 1.8l vvtl-I celica is a cold air intake by injen with DNA filter and exhaust.Many Honda type r owners surprised with my celica.It's only 1.8l but if you know how to keep the rpms to 6.200+ and you are good driver then you can smoke every stock type r. even a type r with the same upgradesThe key is the driver and Yamaha 2zz engine!The only celica u can smoke is the gt-1zz 😉

the civic is only 160 hp and the celica 200 hp is a big difference 40 hp.

k20=2.0L 197BHP 2ZZ=1.8L 192BHP.

Ep3 has the k20a3... 160 hp... Not the true vtec k20a2/z1/z3

Don't confuse the North American market EP3 Si and SiR with the EDM Type R. The cars for America had the 160 engine. The EDM and JDM Type R got the 200-215 hp engines.

This video is in the UK. Europe got a K20a2 with 197bhp

Acceleration wise they are pretty much the same stock, I own a t sport myself and it's such a fun machine to drive, puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it tho I have to be honest the Type R is the better car, everything is just perfect in that car, the gearing, the handling, the looks and that beautiful engine with so much potential, don't get me wrong I love my t sport but it feels more like a corolla with 192 hp and shorter gears where as a type r feels like a real racing machine
