Did you ever filled the gaps? It would be nice to see how it came out. I’m glad you showed how it looked i heard they came out pretty bad from the factory so thank you for being honest

Nope! Although I really liked the design of this bumper, it was just way too much work to fix up. But with duraflex, be prepared to do lots of fiberglass work.

Nice job It looks great. If it wasn't for those gaps it would be perfect. Other than that great work. I have 2 Celicas and love them to death.

How flexible is the bumber? I have a 2000 Celica that got rear-ended and I'm wondering if this kind of bumber would be able to bend a little bit in order to attach it to something that is a little bent out of shape?

It's made of fiberglass so it's defiantly able to bend. Since it is such a larger piece like a rear bumper there is a lot more room for flexing. Funny enough the '01 in this video also had a rear accident due to a previous owner, so the frame on the driver side is a tiiiiiny bit out of place. I'm sure you'd be able to make it work! My only concern is that if there's too much flex/resistance on the bumper there might be too much stress on the bolts, making the bumper more susceptible to breaking from impacts (kinda like a compressed spring in a box and throwing it). Thanks for commenting and best of luck if you decide on installing!

Hi there, it's RipperJack from Tiger King 2 here. I have an 03 GTS project car that I'm working on. Matter of fact, it's in the show as well. Since I'm pretty detailed, and dig into the depths of my projects, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. You make a video on how to remove the bumper, and for 2 hours you get stumped and can't figure out how to completely remove it. Once you figure it out, you add text to your video saying it took 2 hours to figure out how to take the rest of the bumper off, but as a courtesy to people watching, you're going to skip that process. Not only do you skip it, you don't let your audience know what it was that caused the big delay in removing the bumper? As I'm getting ready to remove my bumper, and rear lights, I'm to wonder what else is holding the bumper on besides the 4 long bolts. Whatever it is, I can only assume it's not going to be easy to find if it took you and someone else 2 hours to figure it out. I'm trying to make sense of how this is a courtesy to your audience, the audience that is looking for tips on saving time, and not messing something up when removing a bumper on a Celica from the years 2000-20005. To me, it's not a courtesy as to what you did by leaving that portion out, it's more of a "phuck you, figure it out yourself!". Thanks for showing us the 4 deep bolts, I'm sure "some" people wouldn't find the most obvious bolts holding on the bumper. Thanks again, for those 4 long bolts, you saved the day! #DoBetter

Thank you for your constructive criticism! I completely understand the frustration, and believe me I've been there. This was our first video and frankly recording and working on cars is definitely not our forte. It's something we're trying to be better at and this comment reassures the lacking of these videos so I thank you for that. This video was more of a vlog style than anything else to be honest, those two hours weren't filmed because me and Kai were trying to figure out how to remove the bumper and we stopped recording. For future videos, ones that lean more towards the tutorial/walkthrough aspect, we will definitely be more careful and film every single step of the way. Again, thank you for your criticism and hope you can enjoy our future videos :)

@@sahagii8726 I've got the same Duraflex ground effects you have. Skirts, front/ rear etc... Did you end up doing additional fibreglass work to cover up the openings? If so, I would be highly interested in seeing the end result. Appreciate you responding, it says alot about your character. Peace

@@RipperKZreadOfficial The original plan was to actually mold the front lip and OEM bumper to be one piece, but nowadays I'm still looking around for a more body kit options. Once I can decide on which kit to run that's when I can see if openings need to be covered and other cosmetic fixes. Cheers!

I linked the wing below, REALLY don't recommend it though unless you reinforce it, this thing wobbled like crazy on freeways. www.ebay.com/itm/395094652815?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261981%26meid%3D09628f9df6a846f790f60cd214a9fee9%26pid%3D101875%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D155724545421%26itm%3D395094652815%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D4429486%26algv%3DSimplAMLv11WebTrimmedV3MskuWithLambda85KnnRecallV1V2V4ItemNrtInQueryAndCassiniVisualRankerAndBertRecallWithVMEV3CPCAutoWithCassiniEmbRecall&_trksid=p4429486.c101875.m1851&itmprp=cksum%3A39509465281509628f9df6a846f790f60cd214a9fee9%7Cenc%3AAQAIAAABcHD%252FO%252BVoFoPPIoZ2g0kOZxWd85mWuIHekSp3qag7zFfwObZeQoitzE%252FDCfcejfO%252BzOLmzZmy11RrgWpA56KM9DpasK%252BGtGYwCFvgaK6ijP5AqShEUhT8f2oX6hvndJ3G0oWH8DD1DlBWseQltpxcSDW2Uu52NrseaxeINpsrDP6vx7ny%252BkPKauMa3yeSanWiigx8A3hqOPS0VE3G090e7TR%252BuDE6EQEPO9X7dQqeda7ZNfzDBbOqVy22QHDwN%252FFS%252FEqVvDevncEQOLFXTXzRbrXJIMbUpfmPwel31%252FJ11bcg4jps0CxNx%252Fxds1j0IFA9UHyQw8COuX0W5rWK%252F9a3wuMn6M%252FYdlu8%252F0v%252BXIzrE%252BKlVJP1MGeEMyDNP86q1NOoAH7c2Wzz6P8SUE8mud%252FFbYsvYM3GM1%252F9FeXycG8%252BZP5PmjFzmiKEzK1r4rIBzGPCeLmnWJCz4dIM4h%252F6FClVCy3tM6cJnzpgHqUMmgMB1h%252Bt%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A4429486&itmmeta=01HRP4RM8WN1FZK7K1HB51XQPT
