oooooooo I was always wondering about the red back.

I would like to know if the 412cab consisting of two Alnico creams on top and two Redbacks on bottom is suitable for pairing with Wizard MC2?

Thank you so much! I have an '89 Peavey Triumph 120 High-gain combo amp with a Scorpion Ultra 12". I am looking to replace it to smooth out the highs, take some of the harshness away, and add some warmth. (I tried it through an Egnater Tourmaster 2x12 ext cab, with Celestion Elite 80s, and it accomplished that.) Being a 150 watt speaker, replacement choices are limited, so when I saw Celestion just came out with the Redback, I've been chomping at the bit for some insight. It's not yet available in the states.

+glp046 yeah it won't be available in the US just yet, I had to chase the guys at Celestion to get one of the first ones. I'm really excited to see how it does!

How do you like the Combo of Cream and Redback? ;)

I swapped a Vintage 30 out for a G12 Century Vintage. I'm happy with the result. What do you think of the Century Vintage? Just curious.

+Space Alien Radio I must say, I've not had chance to use one. Is it close enough to a V30 to make the weight loss worth it?

Hop Pole Studios It's 60w. It has a Celestion like sound with a little less upper mid spike of the V30 and a bit more on the highest frequencies. It has 98db sensitivity. I have it in a Mesa mini rectifier 1×12 that I modified to an open back. I use a 5w Bugera head that I put a different 12AX7 in. The original tube was a Bugera label that I thought sounded a bit icy in comparison.

+Dan S. I like it! It's a bit dark, with the typical greenback mid push, and a bit of extra treble on the amp brings it right forward. And I'm not worried about it blowing up in a 1x12 which is a great bonus!
