Celeste's bone marrow transplantation

The protagonist of this story arrived in 2015 at the SJD Barcelona Childrens Hospital. She had come from Venezuela, where she had been treated for acute pediatric lymphoblastic leukemia. The disease was in the remission phase, but the team at the Haematopoietic stem cell transplantation unit considered it necessary to perform a bone marrow transplant to consolidate the good prognosis of the girl.
Our team has performed more than 500 transplants so far. In this video we explain how was the process that our little brave and her family lived, from the search of the compatible bone marrow donor to the postoperative follow-up.
