Hello Celeste, just started watching your videos. I found you through Christy CHQ and Olivia PHQ , I just love your sweet voice and your caring nature. I’m new to quilting and cross stitch and crochet going on two years. This video touched my heart. I started quilting and cross stitching to help my heart and my fingers from the grief of my mom transitioning into eternity. I would just tear at my fingers, now I keep them busy by creating. I love that you have these things of her, from her. 😊

So good to see you again Celeste! I don't celebrate Halloween either. I do hand out treats to the neighborhood trick-or-treaters, but I always love decorating only for Autumn and Thanksgiving. I will confess that there are 2 or 3 charts that I might talk myself into; the TKogut cat you finished last year, and the Rev. Squashbottom. Neither are ghoulish but I am not sure if I could feel comfortable stitching them or not. Fall is my favorite season so anything with Fall Leaves, Pumpkins, or Turkeys fit my style. I love hearing you speak of your Mother. I have several pieces my Mom made (including my wedding dress) and I recently asked my Dad if I could have her sewing machine & cabinet from the 1950's that she taught me to sew on. I am converting a spare bedroom to strictly a Sewing Room and I want it to have a place of honor in my home. Such sweet memories. Thank you for sharing with us and see you next time!

I'm in total agreement on the Halloween ideas. I really like all the cute Halloween things but not the gory, bloody yucky stuff. It's so not me. I mainly love the fall things and even thanksgiving things. I love they can all stay out so long! They and the cute Halloween things are happy things! I've made 3 of the quilt as you go hexies and love doing them! Such fun!

I like that you are including all of the quilting content, your crochet, etc. in the same video- just easier on you. I have always wanted to make the Raven quilt-just love it! Love the stories of your mom’s crafting endeavors. I’ve always been partial to the freezer paper/starch technique - I should pull out my Appliquik stuff and give it another try. The Karen Kay Buckley circles are the best (she has the larger set also). Verna Mosquera is local to me here in California (Danville) - her quilts are jaw-dropping, amazing!

Wow! That first cherry block is stunning. You did a great job. Ah and now the tea pot. It's soooo cute. And your fabrics for the Raven's quilt are just so dreamy. I love fabrics but I have never made a quilt. Honestly if I ever did want to make one I would love to do that Raven's quilt. It just looks so amazing. Great video! I absolutely love your new format with wool appliqué, appliqué, and quilting at the end! Had to go online and order The Raven by Blackbird! LOL! A lot of places were sold out! Lovely to catch up with you Celeste. In the UK, as a Christian we don’t do Halloween, but I know it’s super big in the US. When my kids were younger we would take them to church for a light party on 31 October to celebrate the light of Christ.

Since then, it has been offered in a wool kit. I have that and am inspired by you girls to pull it out and get busy. I do love the colors in your fabrics chosen for your quilt.

I love Sarah Stewart Hardman! I bought it at Sampler Symposium and had Vickie sign it. Years ago, I had Ann Raynor, and I destashed it! Big mistake. One of these days I will be delving into all the quilting. So I keep saying!

Hi, loving your hair today. My ira and ida are my favourite as well and I too did them into one. HaI finished ye old crow recently.oh finish on the pumpkin one is great! I have been doing a few starts and not having to buy much other than floss. Oh that hexi quilt is cute, but I need to learn plain squares first lol could do that with a square as well couldn’t you? That be easier than me trying to sew a bed size quilt on my machine. Hmm??? Oh love the donated one! It’s so pretty. Oh the wool appliqué is adorable. Love it all.❤❤❤

Celeste, you do lots of crafts like Kathy from sew and sews. I really only do 3. Quilt, crossstitch and embroidery. Quilting is my main hobby as I have so much fabric I'll never use it all. But I love stitching as well. My main project right now is " O Marie" by Reflets de soie. It's of Our Blessed Mother.

I love the Vintage Spool also and "spoke" with her by email recently. She is considering designing fabric again now that her kiddos are older. So exciting. Our local fabric shop which used to be Primitive Gatherings CA is going to carry her patterns so did you think it was much easier to get the kit? I will pass on your comments from today to new owner.
