Look sangomas are African culture and there’s nothing wrong with following our culture
People, particularly Africans, should desist from confusing ubungoma (being a sangoma) with Religion. Sangomas are traditional healers. African Traditional Religion is indigenous to Africa and like the more than 4000 global religions (which includes Christianity, brought to these shores by colonial missionaries). The tendency to always link the two is misguided. For most of us who practiced ATR it is both an expression of our spirituality and a way of life. Period.
