Memee Bays - No. We NEVER did that, not even amongst family. It was unsanitary then as it is now. Great way to pass on a cold, flu, etc. even before symptoms become prevalent.

In South Africa we have a drink called Iron Brew (different colour than that) which is weird because we use the word Bru (meaning Bro, Bra, Brother, etc.) often; and I think it's made from caramel, cola and steel pylons. The best hangover thirst cure.

In 🇲🇽 pork skin fried is very popular snack just like potato chips. With lime and Valentina sauce... Even the kids eat it. Is delicious 😋. We called chicharrón. But yes if you see the whole name description I understand if that sound little bit disturbing or disgusting... But is amazing. ❤️

Seriously, try vegemite but dilute it with margerine/butter, trust me, its gooood. Not as bitter or anything, it actually taste really nice.
