When Marylin Manson said they were tools of the devil I think what he meant was that he believed they were manufactured by the record company and represented a fakeness in music where people who were becoming popular lacked real artistry and talent. He was so wrong though. Literally from their first album they wrote all their own music, played their own instruments and sang live. They were, are and always have been true artists.

I would love to see these same celebs discuss Hanson now, so many years later, I think that would be interesting and kinda cool!

I thought Fiona Apple understood music. Then again, once you hear her songs, you remember none of it afterwards.

Nothing "lol" about it- it was a highly accurate prediction considering they're still around and going strong as ever :) Just because a band isn't crazy mainstream famous anymore doesn't mean they don't have a perfectly successful career. Hanson went independent back in 2003, have made 4 fantastic albums on their own label, and tour regularly to sold out shows (and no, they're not doing some tiny, obscure venues... I'm talking 2,000+ capacity, really nice concert venues). Oh and not only have they maintained a strong and impressive career as independent artists, but also most people worth their salt IN the actual music industry completely respect them :) It's only the mass public who still insist on judging them based on a song they wrote when they were young kids that haven't gotten the memo that they've got tons of talent and artistic integrity.

Um, considering they're still around and have never stopped making great music and selling out shows, I'd say he was right on the nose ;) Just because they chose artistic integrity by going independent rather than caring about topping the charts doesn't mean they're not still around! And you know what says a lot about them? Most of the people IN the music industry worth their salt- including the likes of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran- are big Hanson fans and completely respect how legit and talented they are :)
