I'm a freelance MUA/Hairstylist and I feel this is very similar. You jump from job to job, work in random. places..carry a bunch of makeup because you don't know who needs what, then you have to pack up and start all over again.It's crazy. VERY HARD but so rewarding when you LOVE WHAT YOU DO!!
