I think it's a very funny core idea. On one hand, it is funny because it is so incongruous: people having huge amount of obsessive fans because they were models for some poster. But on the other hand, it is a funny critique of our society because people do become super famous for doing almost nothing. It also funny because some people do behave this way toward celebrities: they think that the roles celebrities portray are somehow reflect who they are as people, they expect celebrities to recreate their catchphrases/actions from movies, etc. So, I think that this sketch is a simple, but funny hyperbole of celebrity culture and how people cannot differentiate between reality and movies/shows.
