    Excellent quality video that answered all my questions and more! I just subscribed; thanks for the great content. I am dreaming of my first Celebrity cruise in 2023. This will be my 13th cruise and thus far my favorite hands-down is Oceania in the Med . Santorini sunset was a breathtaking experience. Also I truly enjoyed RC Anthem of the Seas with the unique Northstar observation pod ; that’s a must see! I’m ready to try Celebrity so thanks again!!

    I recently discovered your channel and have been watching your videos voraciously , and “liking” them! What I really appreciate is that you are so organized and structured, educational, and offer a straightforward soothing delivery. Even some of my favorite travel and cruise vloggers here resort to meaningless frenetic graphics and hyperactive repetitive delivery. Which I understand is a compromise to earn eyeballs versus actually educate. I also sense that many of them may be annoying on board to other passengers given their somewhat intrusive style of capturing content. I don’t get that sense at all from you. Hope you are successful, as I find you to truly be the most comprehensive and pleasurable to watch resource about cruising.

    You will love Equinox - it is a very beautiful ship and the service levels should be superior that what you have experienced before. Make sure to make the most of your access to the Persian Garden Spa area and the specialty dining access to Blu, your Aqua Class dining room. They are open for breakfast and often also for lunch. If you want to do something really special book Murano for your wedding anniversary. It is a special occasion type of venue for dinner.

    Oh good for you! We did Reflection last Thanksgiving and it was one of our all time best on Celebrity. Reflection is the last Solstice Class ship and make sure you do the Lawn Club Grill and Murano would be a special occasion venue. I love Tuscan Grill but the main dining room is so accommodating and order and test several appetizers! They go all out with decorations too so plan on portrait opportunities! It's a Christmas Cruise!

  • @timb2048
    @timb204811 ай бұрын

    We are doing our 1st cruise in September on the Reflection from Barcelona (9 nights). We booked 5 on shore excursions (not sure if that is typical [too many/too few] or not). The concern of doing things on our own would be being left behind. We are also planning to sty in Barcelona for 3 extra days. I’m glad you mentioned that sport/golf shirts and khakis are OK for the fine dining (after years in the corporate world, I’m rather tired of dressing up). I do have to stay in touch with business back home in the States so I bought the premium wifi package. I orginally booked 7 nights of Specialty Dining but canceled that package- just not sure we need that many nights of that type of food. So this is a first for us- never been on anything like this before.

  • @seemoreseascruises3791

    @seemoreseascruises3791

    The Reflection is a great ship. I am confident that you will love it. The dining in the main dining room is great and anything extra that you should need, the buffet is also excellent. I would suggest trying breakfast and even lunch on sea days in the main dining room at least once. Shore excursions are very nice if you do not know the port or if the port is far from the main city - Rome is a good example. You are assured to get back on time. I agree that the 7 Night specialty dining package is overkill. I would suggest that you try Tuscan Grille and Murano for your Evening Chic (dress up nights) since they are fantastic. The Lawn Club Grill is also very good. Nice jeans and a polo is fine for the main dining room and as you mentioned, khakis and a collared shirt in acceptable for the dressier nights. Lunch at the Porch can be nice but it is a bit expensive. You'll love the med cruise especially for 9 nights and good call staying in Barcelona a few extra days. Make sure that you are arriving in Barcelona at least one day before your cruise if you are flying. Enjoy your cruise and feel free to reach out with additional questions!

    We liked the infinite balcony in the Carib. We kept it closed most of the time due to heat and we then had a large room with a great view. However even with the window down you felt like you were inside so I do not think we would like it on say an Alaskan cruise where you want to feel outside.

  • @seemoreseascruises3791

    @seemoreseascruises3791

    That is a really good point! Check out our aft balcony from our recent AK Solstice cruise review video - we spent a ton a time outside and loved our outside wrap around aft balcony. When it is hot and you are not using the balcony, it is a nice extension of the basic veranda stateroom. I think that was the initial intent but I hear 50/50 on likes and dislikes. Thanks for watching!!!

    Great video, the speed ofyour speech is perfect. You took your time and did not rush thru the info like other channels do. I have recently booked my cruise for next year on Celebrity Solstice and this will be my first cruise! I know this post is late but was wondering if there is any rental on wheelchair on this cruise? I am also uncertain about the anytime dining. Does that mean I could just walk into the dining room at anytime and sit at any table of my choice? One last question, what is the luggage limitation?

  • @seemoreseascruises3791

    @seemoreseascruises3791

    10 ай бұрын

    Thanks so much for the feedback and for watching! Celebrity Cruises will offer complimentary wheelchair assistance for getting on and off the ship but if a guest needs a wheelchair or scooter while onboard, you need to bring it with you or can rent them from various services supporting that port. We needed a knee scooter / wheelchair for a sprained ankle just before a cruise and was able to go online and book it the day before the cruise. It was waiting for us in our stateroom. The anytime dining refers to an open time for dinner in the main dining room. There is walk up availability at the Maitre D stand and the dining staff will seat you upon availability of an open table. This is normally not the same table each night but they will do their best to accommodate you. We had the same table and wait staff before using this option. They plan for this so the wait is normally nominal however the line at peak times can be long. You can go into the cruise planner before the cruise and reserve an anytime dining time for each day by selecting dining, main dining room, the day and time you want for that day. Times fill up quickly so act quickly. This allows you to bypass the walk up line for anytime dining. If you do not know a specific time for that day, then walk up is your best option. I hope that helps!

    That sounds like a great cruise! The ABC islands are great! We were just there a couple of months ago. The retreat is a wonderful experience and make sure that you dine at Luminae for breakfast and dinner. The specialty dining is always a treat however, Luminae is such high quality you do not necessarily need to book specialty dining. Also you will have access to Blu (aqua class dining room) so make sure you confirm a breakfast or dinner through your Retreat Host. The Retreat Lounge will have snacks and cocktails every afternoon which is very nice and a great opportunity to chat with new friends. Just finished a Greek cruise on the Celebrity Edge! It's lovely ship but she's got problems at the moment . Celebrity being Celebrity will put these problems in order eventually i'm sure it's just a blipp . The week before she had a 57 % passenger occupancy ( we where hoping for this ) and i belive everything was ship shape and run really well , on our cruise she had a 90% occupancy but it's crew struggled to cope ( not enough crew to look after a full complement of guest ) . Celebrity have shut Eden cafe , certain bars , very slow service in it's 4 mdrs . We treated ourselves to a speciality restaurant in the Fine cut steakhouse ( expensive but we're on holiday ) after ordering we waited 1 hour for our starters to arrive , we got our steaks served and then waited 10 minutes for our accompaniments ! Surely this is inexcusable on a premiere cruise line , O'H. early in the cruise we had to wait 30 minutes in the cocktail bar before we could order . We've enjoyed the Celebrity experience on different ships and we know this is not the norm , we trust them to put measures in practice so it dosent happen again . The trouble is when a vacation cost thousands of dollars you feel let down . PS The staff , crew and officers on the ship are working very hard are always smiling and helpful but need help , great individuals 👏👏

    @@stevewilson6390 That is so surprising from Celebrity! I am sure that they will implement changes but I would contact Celebrity and inform them of your experience. Those wait times you mentioned are completely uncharacteristic for sure. Thanks for watching!

    @@seemoreseascruises3791 We are booked on the Millennium September 30 for a 12 day circumnavigation of Japan. This was originally booked before Covid and is finally going to happen. We just returned from two back to backs on Apex. The most beautiful ship we have ever been on. However we were disappointed in the changes to the Martini and Sunset bars. Having the Martini Bar become the focus of the Plaza rather than on the side of the atrium makes the music much louder and almost eliminates conversation. We also found the service much slower unless you were actually sitting at the bar. Often 30 minutes to get a drink. We also don’t like the plastic glasses at the Sunset bar. A martini served in a plastic old fashioned glass just doesn’t cut it. We miss the ice on the Martini Bar as well but hear it’s returning on the Ascent. We haven’t been on a HAL in years but I always felt the Millennium class reminded me of HAL ships. More traditional cruise ship feel.

    You are the best...so quick, entertaining, and informative....no fluff. As a travel agent of 52 years, I appreciate that! We have to be familiar with all cruise lines, so your tips are priceless. I recently sailed on the Beyond--- just for travel agents and not open to the public. Only complaints were the linens were not 100% cotton, and we were unable to sleep well as we were clammy all night--even though the room was set to 68 degrees. Also, missed a library. I have two questions for "real people". Have they substantially cut back on the Oceanview Cafe for the evening buffet, as lots of clients just want to eat and leave---without waiting for the service in the dining rooms? Also, are the drink dispensers that were available for, milk, iced tea, and water, available all day in the Oceanview Cafe--- as they were for our sailing---or just for breakfast, lunch, and dinnertimes? Booked the Beyond for a Med sailing this summer. I'm paying full price, as no TA discounts were available...I'll let you know what we think when we get back, as we'll be sailing as "real people"!

A subscriber recently commented that she just got off of the Reflection and the Oceanview Cafe was fully operational for dinner with several options. I think the cutbacks mentioned was a guest capacity issue at least I am hoping. My experience with the drink dispensers is that they are normally available late into the evening. If we would grab a late night snack, iced tea and water are available but not necessarily milk but I could be mistaken on that. If you are going with "All Included" bottled water and soft drinks are included. Have a great Med sailing! That one is still on our bucket list. Thanks so much for watching.

    I am so happy that you like the videos. All most all cruise lines will accommodate everyone with mobility issues. The cruise lines will absolutely provide wheelchair assistance boarding the ship. They will escort you through security as well as check-in inside the terminal. They will wheel you through the boarding process and onto the ship. They do not provide wheelchairs on the ship. You can bring your own or if you use a walker or other device onboard you need to bring that with you. There are also many companies that work with the cruise lines which allow you to rent a wheelchair, scooter and other mobility devices for the entirety of your cruise. The item will be in your stateroom when you board and will be picked up from your stateroom when leaving. We did this once, renting a knee scooter for a sprained ankle which happened the day before our cruise. The only issue is getting from boarding to your stateroom. That is why I suggested that you bring your walker, cane or other mobility assist device with you in the terminal. I hope that helps. A good travel advisor can coordinate all of this for you! • @seemoreseascruises3791

    @seemoreseascruises3791

    Жыл бұрын

    The theory regarding seasickness is to pick a cabin in the middle deck area (but not above a public space) midship. Have cabins below and above you to limit noise. The middle decks and midship will minimize the chance of feeling the movement of the ship. The reality is with newer ships, they have stabilizing technology that greatly limits the sway of the ship. If budget allows, the Retreat is fantastic but not for everyone. You will not get free spa treatments or Persian garden access with the Retreat (suites) but you will have larger cabins, the Retreat Lounge and Luminae. If you are interested in the Persian Garden or dining at Blu, the aqua class might be of interest. Note that the Aqua Class staterooms are the same size as all other balcony staterooms. I have never booked an Aqua Class cabin because I get board in the Persian Garden area of the spa. I hope that helps and be warned, once you book a suite it is hard to go back to a standard balcony cabin! Enjoy your 1st cruise - Celebrity is a very good start. Thanks for watching!

    @seemoreseascruises3791

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you so much for watching the videos! You will absolutely have a great time on the celebrity reflection. Without the drink package, the individual drinks will be charged to your onboard account, which you have most likely already set up by providing a credit card on file. These will be individual charges that will appear on your onboard spending account. This works the same way with massages or anything else that you purchase on board. Anything that you purchase onboard will be applied to your onboard spending account and be totaled at the end of your cruise and charged to that credit card. If you have any onboard credit as part of your all included promotion by getting a concierge level stateroom, these promotional onboard credits can be applied to anything that you purchase onboard including drinks. The way the dinner reservations work is that if you selected either early seating or a late seating, these are fixed times and you will be at the same table with the same wait staff every night of the cruise. If you went for a flexible, anytime/my time dining then I highly recommend that you go onto the cruise planner on the Celebrity website and individually book a my time dining for each day of the cruise. This saves you time when you are waiting in line for the table availability. If you make a reservation ahead of time you are in a separate line, and they escort you directly to your table at the time that you previously had reserved. I hope that this clears up your questions, but if you have any additional questions, please feel free to send me a message. Thanks so much for watching, and have a great cruise!

They are considered a Premium brand which would also be compared to Princess and Holland America Line. In recent years though, Celebrity has moved closer to the Upper Premium towards some of the Luxury brands like Viking, Oceania or Cunard among others. They are positioned above Mass Market lines like Carnival, NCL and Royal Caribbean. We just finished a Celebrity Equinox cruise and the service levels, food and entertainment were outstanding. In sharp comparison, we also recently did a 10-Night Holland America cruise and the service, food and entertainment was lacking and it was a disappointing experience. I have seen some Princess reviews recently which also stated some service level declines. The Solstice is a great ship. We just sailed her in June through Alaska. On Celebrity, there are several drink packages that can be purchased before you sail or at the time of booking. If you chose to not take the all included classic beverage package you should be able to still purchase that for about $69 per day per person, OR you can purchase non-alcoholic packages that includes premium coffees. The classic non-alcoholic runs about $18 per person per day and also includes sodas and bottled water. If you want to bump that up to include smoothies and energy drinks you should be able to find the premium non-alcoholic for about $25 per person per day. I am pretty sure that the same rules apply that both people in the stateroom must purchase packages. If one wants the classic alcohol and one wants the classic non-alcoholic they usually allow that but you or your TA need to call in to arrange that. These will be available under the cruise planner area under beverages. It is always a good idea to purchase these before sailing to save money. The prices will vary depending on season and length of cruise. Here is the link on the Celebrity Cruise site: www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages. By way of background, we have 34 cruises on Celebrity going back to 1998. Ten cruises were in 2018 and 2019, with nine on Solstice ships and one on the Edge (Jan 27, 2019). The Edge was a disappointment. The infinite veranda is not a veranda at all. It is a sitting room with a picture window. There are times you can find yourself with the barrier to the stateroom closed and unable to open the window because the bridge deems the weather unsuitable. Then you're essentially sitting in a box. The theater was dramatic, but too small. A highly-experienced cruise director was literally begging passengers at the late show to come to the early show as the late show was SRO. Of course, that is assuming they could change their dining and didn't mind eating dinner after 9:00 PM. Eden, as this review pointed out, was over-the-top, while the Fine Cut was good. Fine Cut was $10.00 more than Murano on Solstice ships. To say the Tuscan dining room was anything like the Tuscan Grille specialty restaurants on the Solstice class is far from fact. Lunch at Eden was not good. This is as much as I can remember from almost four years ago. There were other issues, such as shopping, that were not great. We have heard that some of the issues on the Edge were addressed on later ships in the class. So, believe or not, we'll be on the December 4, 2022 sailing of the Beyond. I like to give things a second chance. At the same time, looking at a You Tube on the Equinox, on which we'll be sailing on October 6, 2022, was like seeing a dear friend.

  • @seemoreseascruises3791

    @seemoreseascruises3791

    Жыл бұрын

    First, I applaud you for having a later flight - it is a smart thing to do. In general, most ships will require you to be out of your stateroom by 9:00am or sooner. The self assist walk off (carry your own bags) begins at about 7:30am once the ship is cleared by local authorities. Then those who checked their bags the night before begin to disembark by group. This is normally complete by 9:30 or 10:00. The ship may also require you to meet in a lounge prior to your group being called. With all of that said, I would recommend that you look for an excursion in your port that ultimately will drop you at the airport. This might still get you to the airport much earlier than you want. There should also be several nearby hotels that you can reserve and though your room might not be available until afternoon, you should be able to use the facilities (pool, beach, restaurant) and have the bellman desk hold your luggage. You could catch a cab or ride share to the airport in the evening. If you are going out of Port Everglades or Miami there should be several options. This is a costly but with your luggage and carry on bags, your options are limited. A full day excursion (maybe with a 3rd party tour operator with more flexible times) and then the wait at the airport might be your best bet. See if you have access to any of the lounges at the airport or purchase a day pass so that at least you have a comfortable airport experience. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

    It looks like, from your dates, that you will be on the Beyond. That is a beautiful ship and most cabins will have storage for toiletries in the bathroom on three shelves on each side of the mirror and also under the sink within a drawer and an accompanying shelf. There is also a thin closet outside of the bathroom with 7 shelves for shoes, folded items, etc. There is another corner cupboard with two deep shelves prior to reaching the bed. The main closet is beside the bed and has plenty of hanging space along with 3 large drawers and a shelf holding the safe. Additionally there are nightstands beside the bed with two small cubbies to hold loose items. Only one side of the bed has the USB and US Outlet with several more on the desk. Beside the desk and mini fridge you will also find 3 long drawers to place folded items. The Edge class ships have plenty of storage for your length of cruise. I am sure that you will enjoy your itinerary and the ship is amazing. I do hope that this helps and I'd be happy to send you links to other content creators who have done a specific room tour for your cabin type. Thanks so much for watching!

The Retreat Sundeck is also available to suite guests which provides you a quieter pool and sun deck experience. You have your own bar in that area so waiting for drinks should not ever be an issue. You will still be able to go to Blu from being in a suite. The only thing that you will not have is the unlimited access to the Persian Garden. Another big difference is that you get Premium Drink package and Premium Streaming Wi-Fi for both in the cabin. If the difference is $1K and your budget allows, I would recommend it especially if on Edge Class but we have done Sky Suites on Solstice Class as well and the staterooms and dining options are fantastic. Be careful though, you might not want to go back to a Veranda Stateroom once you have experienced The Retreat level of services. I hope that was helpful and thanks for watching!

    Actually that is the next video I am working on which should be out this weekend. Unless I know your complete situation, it is hard for me to help but there are "included" fares and "cruise only" fares. If you look at the base price on the website and see a base fare, it is for a cruise only inside cabin. If you are looking at upgraded options, there are Oceanview or veranda cabins available as a "cruise only" fare as well as an "all included" option. The "all included" adds a classic drink package, basic internet for social media with email as well as gratuities to your booking. You may have also selected a veranda, concierge class or aqua class veranda stateroom which will add to the base fare. This can be selected with cruise only or with the "all included" option. There are so many variables for bookings which, though confusing, do allow you to customize your cruise experience. If you are working with a travel advisor, please reach out immediately. The pricing levels are very confusing for a reason and a great travel advisor can make sure that you are getting exactly what you are needing. If you don't drink, then why do you need to purchase a drink package? There are non-alcoholic packages that include sodas and specialty coffees, etc. They also add port charges, gratuities and taxes at the very end which is not specific to Celebrity. ALL cruises lines do this upon checkout. Let me know if I can assist further.

    I have been cruising with Celebrity since 1991...shortly after 1997 when RCI took over, the Aqua Class category was invented. Service, food and entertainment declined as if it was on a sled downhill...Many Aqua Class amenities were eliminated and to this day have not been brought back such as Fresh flowers delivered daily...sturdy canvas tote bag to keep gone, Great fruit like grapes, bananas, oranges,which turned eventually into 3 green apples..designer soaps and shampoos turned into generic large pump bottles...Personalized stationary eliminated..the only thing that is not really worth the money is BLU....You can sail in a regular Veranda eat in a specialty restaurant every night AND STILL would be cheaper price then Aqua class which is almost the same exact cabin. I will say the food, service and entertainment was fantastic on the Edge in May...I do believe service food and entertainment has gotten better then in the early 2000's...I enjoyed the Edge in Europe in may so much I booked the Soltice Reflection for a European cruise. PLEASE NOTE...The Infinity Veranda STINKS..It is horrible, all it is a window that open...I would rather walk out onto the Veranda...But the rest of the ship was beautiful...I love the M and S class as well.

So glad to hear your opinions and THANK YOU for watching!

    @@seemoreseascruises3791 OK here is what I did and what can be done. The last cruise I gave the Cabin Steward $20 right off the bat and I received a Shimp cocktail on Ice every afternoon also got upgraded fruit. In Blu if one must go Aqua Class, you can ask for a Main dining room menu as well as a Blu Menu...I will say the service in Blu is as good as any specialty restaurant, which can be appealing. I actually won a cruise while playing Deal or no deal on the Edge in May, But there was a few things not explained. 1- The cruise must be taken in the Caribbean...My wife and Inare done with the Caribbean, we did every Island including Bermuda 3x many years ago, we did Alaska, Panama Canal, New England and Canada. I was stationed in Hawaii before being deployed so that was out.. We now only do Europe. Well When you win a cruise the entertainment director gives you a paper to bring to the Casino (the Blue Chip Club) actually pays fornthe cruise not Celebrity...you must sail in an inside Cabin as well, you cannot upgrade..When I heard this I knew I was going to call the Blue Chip Club when I got home. I made the Call and explained that NO RULES OR RESTRICTIONS are posted on the website when buying the deal or no deal cards as well as on board at the game show. I explained that my wife and I don't cruise the Caribbean anymore nor do we sail in an inside Cabin, so for us to pay Port Fees, All Taxes, round Trip airfare for a inside cabin to a destination we don't want to go is out of the question. I WOULD NEVER had played if I knew about the restrictions. I asked for a onboard credit in lieu of the Cruise for two. She said we don't usually do that..I again repeated if I knew there were restrictions and rules I would never had played. She stated I will have to speak to my supervisor for a onboard credit for your upcoming cruise next year..on hold for 10 mins..I was the offered $300 onboard credit..Instated is that fair..2 cruises and you are offering $150 per person...I stated no way...well she comes back on and says if we offer you $700 would that be fair...Insaid Absolutely...so I now have the Original $300 onboard credit when I booked plus $100 onboard credit for redemption of Visa Celebrity Cruise Card and now the $700...for a total of $1,000 on board credit which will be chewed up with the Excursions in Europe.

Food is our number one priority. We're whole food, plant based. We just learned that the Captain of the Edge is a woman! That would just be the icing on the cake if she could marry us at sea. If you are going to go to a Specialty Dining venue, visit them the day before and let them know. John has a huge sensitivity to highly processed cheap seed oils like Canola or Vegetable Oils. Here is my recent experience sailing from Vancouver to Hawaii on the Celebrity Eclipse. This is the review I submitted at the end of the cruise, I was promised a response. It's been 4 months with out one. BT ---- My job as the Grumpy Guy!!! or “I'm the guy with bad attitude” I'm having a effing great time on this cruise and I mean that with all the facetiousness and insincerity I can muster on this trip. Mustering is a good term. Too bad the mustering is only done online with watching a few videos, and showing up on the designated deck just to have someone check off that I showed up on the designated deck. There was no practice putting on lifejackets, no practice getting on lifeboats. We only did one cruise several years ago, prior to this one and I felt safer on that one, because we were taught, with practice, how to put on the lifejackets. Let's look at the music and other sounds on this ship. They play pop music all day in the buffet, at annoyingly loud volumes. I spoke with the buffet manager about this on the second day and he reduced the volume some, but it is still bothersome. The live music and shows would be good or even acceptable but the volume is intolerable. I had to bail out of the first live show last night after about 15 minutes because of the volume. What makes this worse is the echo. All the music and the ship noises echo thoughout the ship. There only a couple of places I can find that are QUIET!! I've had a headache since I boarded this ship, but I don't want to stay in my room all the time for an 12 day cruise. If I had to do that, I'd rather fly to my destination, and spend all of my vacation there, rather than suffer from the torment of the noise. I went to the Guest Relations desk to complain and to see if there was anything that could be done, and I was told that I should go back to my room for the duration, or wear earplugs. ARRGGGHHHHH! Did I mention I've been laughed at by the staff in Guest Relations twice now? Once when I first complained about the volume of the entertainment, and another time when I was trying to locate my wife for a medical appointment. Also, my wife was laughed at by a staff member as she was trying to dance the hula while the staff member was helping her with her plate to our table. My wife felt that this was an unfriendly laugh, and felt somewhat insulted. Hey, let's write about another fun experience I had today. We had purchased an excursion for today and nobody delivered the tickets to our room. I went down to Guest Relations to find out about the tickets. The first time, I was just told to go to the pier 15 min prior to the time for the excursion and the tour operator would have our names for his list, but no mention of how we were supposed to get to the pier, no mention of how soon we should board the tender, as I found out we were supposed to do. Remember, we had not received our tickets, so we had no instructions as to what to do. The next time I called the Guest Relations desk, I was told that I had to stand in the standby line to see about my tickets. Why should we be placed on standby when I had already paid for the excursion online weeks before the cruise? I was PO'ed and blew up at the staff member, then to everyone who witnessed the event, letting them know just how much of a “fun time” I was having on this cruise. Eventually, I found out when and where and what we we're supposed to do from another call to Guest Relations, but time was running short and we had to leave our cabin immediately in order to catch a tender and get to the pier on time for our excursion. It gets more fun. When we got to the pier, the staff member working on excursions, at first said that she had no record of us for the excursion, which I had expected to happen considering how everything had been going on this cruise. Eventually, the issue was resolved and I was offered a $20 refund for each ticket (3 of us). The $60 has been credited to my shipboard account. One amazing thing that happened when we returned from the excursion is this: The cruise director was on the same tender as we were when we returned from the excursion. I told her my whole sad story and she promised to speak to someone about it, but not to expect anything about the volume. I'm not, but at least she didn't laugh. If I can get an email address for her or anyone else on this ship or in upper management, they will be cc:'ed on this email as well as every KZread channel I've been following dealing with cruising. And a new complaint is being added to the list. We went to the main dining facility for dinner last night. Now, I've complained to every staff member on this ship about my experiences on this cruise, so much so that know us by name, especially about my ongoing never-ending headache. So, where did the maitre'd sit us, but right next to the noisiest place in the facility, the bus station where the waiters, and the assistant waiters, and the busboys are banging and clanging the dishes as they scrape the food particles from the dirty dishes. So noisy that I had to go back to our cabin and get my noise-cancelling headphones. I wore them throughout dinner, both in order to reduce the noise for me, and as a form of protest about our sitting arrangements. I'm starting the -3Db Revolution, so called as an attempt to get the volume in the entertainment system reduced by 3Db. If we don't complain, our problems won't be resolved! Again, I will be emailing everyone who might be in the least bit interested in reading about my experiences. I will provide the cruise line name and ship name upon personal request. You can do whatever you want with that information. Just call me, The Grumpy Guy Bob Thompson PS. the most fun I've had on this cruise is folding paper airplanes and tossing them across the elevator shaft. Also, writing this email has been somewhat satisfying, but it doesn't make up for being laughed at when I complained. BT
