Yep. He played for the Calgary Stampeders for a couple of games and got cut. He made the CFL as a Canadian National because his father Rocky was born in Nova Scotia.

DeWayne was a member of the Bermuda triangle defence with the Miami Hurricanes the Hurricane defence players called themselves the Bermuda triangle one of if not the best defence team we ever had. Also Burt Reynolds played his highschool football in West Palm beach FL for the twin lakes high rams that school was relocated north west of its original location and was changed to Palm beach lakes high. The original location of then twin lakes highschool is the location of the Kravise center for performing arts in West Palm beach FL. As a palm beach county native Burt Reynolds was my favorite actor. Burt used several Palm beach county Florida locations in his movies including in the longest yard where in that movie he is from Palm beach county.
