Wonderful ! I heard i was 19 years old i am now 66 and i can,t forget
Absolutely epic and outstanding.
RIP Chick Corea. Everything about this tune sounds like a magnificent send off into the eternal.
Played this song in marching band. So much fun to play!
Masterpiece. What a band. Godspeed, Chick.
Lenny White is just a God of Rhythm... that's all there is to it!!!
RIP Chick Corea
When I was living with my parents I used to play this Album loud in my bedroom all the time, still sounds great
I was already hooked on Chick Corea's musicality with the release of this epic LP...each musician just grooves...it's simply awesome!
the military style drumming at 1:25 is absolutely brilliant(being an ex Army percussionist) & this is one of my fave RTF tracks. At 8.30 so beautiful, what a lovely piece of music,Chick Corea, what a master.

Pretty sure Chick was playing with Lenny during that part.
...ALL 4 of them; simply Amazing. Al's solo on Celebration Suite has got to be one of the best alltime Rock solos....
never tired of this since i got this album all those years ago
47 years ago? Wow. This lp & Where Have I Known You...favorites
What an all-star band! All four musicians are unbelievable and they played so well together. Lenny White is unbelievable. As is Chick Corea, Al DiMeola and Stanley Clarke, probably the best bassist ever.

He is a great bassist and is well respected among his peers...Bass has limits though...Stanley wasn't doing things a thousand other great bassist did or do...Percy Jones, Victor Wooten, Jaco, Squire, Entwhistle, Lake, and many more are just as great...
Awww the press roll at the beginning
One of fusion's hallmark drum performances by Lenny White, he's unstoppable!

If you read the album credits it reads that Chick Corea plays the drum intro on this track.

Eric Paulos Most Definitely, I didn't know how Vintage he is until I heard this track, I heard Flight of the Newborn years before but when I brought the cassette, I said Lenny is off the chain, hook, or whatever these youngsters describe it

Such tasty notes...:)...RTF are the BEASTS of fusion!
...Gotta have a visual of Al's solo! Stunningly RocknRoll....
4 great genius of music..can't see nobody thru the years like them .. Chick a great composer and truly a master of keywords & composition...
Brilliant!
Love RTF.
I love hearing the East Asian influences of Chick's Korean heritage.
Classic.
I found this, at last!
Thanks!
Amazing thanks for the upload
...20th Century Classical. I love it !
Something real!!
tres tres bien
Masterpiece ❤❤❤❤❤
The main ingredients hands down !
Celestial desde el principio hasta el final, pero en 2:58... vive Cristo, como escarpias.
God that end guitar solo… woooo
I know what Lenny's playing, I just can't figure out how the hell he's doing it!

Definition of a SUPER GROUP
I'm not a big fan of Guitarist Al DiMeola, but for what it's worth, DiMeola's solo on Celebration Suite Part 2, I believe, is his finest.

Eu acho que essa é a melhor música do Chick Corea.
No es 1974, es la joya de january, 1975. Entonces fue la principal obra maestra de la radio mundial. Царствие Небесное Гению Чику Кории. Он стал Магелланом жанра jazz-rock
East Coast Inda houuuuse!
I definitely did not know how BAD ASS WAS LENNY WHITE. AL, STANLEY AND CHICK PLUS LENNY WAS The GOAT OF ALL THE 4 MOST TALENTED BANDS WHEN IT COMES DOWN MUSICIANS IN 1 GROUP. THEN THE BEATLES ANDZEPPELIN ❤❤❤❤
Preface to Romantic Warrior 👍
Although I prefer 'Where Have I Known You Before' for Chick's electric line-up, I remember back in the 70's a bit of the riff at 9:30 was used at an intro theme for one of the more progressive (at the time) educational programs, probably NPR.
Sharing this with my cousin from Buffalo.. sounds like funeral music he sez....lol....no taste I guess

I got this album In 74. It was my 2nd album of the band; the first "where have I known......" The music sounded too harsh, except for the acoustic passages. Corea's Moog, was very dominating, and the sound was annoyingly shrill, which was a pity. The same goes for Dimeola. It was a lot more aggressive than their previous album and there's some good sections to appreciate. They sorted things out with their Romantic Warrior album, especially with Corea's new Polyphonic Moog..... And the production

Can we get an unsung episode please?
Some of the comments on this are absolutely ridiculous. You guys are some keyboard warriors
What edition is this? I got a CD version which doesn't sound remotely as good as this.

I did a bit of digging and it appears this version appears on the anthology disc which was released in 2008. It contains remasters of their original work: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_to_Forever:_The_Anthology

All SERIOUSLY TALENTED MUSICIANS, JUST SOME MORE TALENT IN THEIR BIG TOE!
such a poor album by a talented band. this track is okish, title track is great, but the rest...? surprising too because there are live recordings, used to be on jazzfusiontv, of this band from the same time as this album (1975), and they are as good as would hope from the players. Title track was only one they played off this album, plus 20min versions of Vulcan Worlds/Phaorah Kings and an electric early version of the RW tune. NY Nov 75, the date I think, with White sounding v great

ill agree this isn’t RTF at their very best, that would be Romantic Warrior. This is however truly innovative. It’s hard to be simultaneously groundbreaking and presenting that new ground in a matured fashion. Romantic Warrior I’d say is both, but at this point, only two years earlier I know, but that’s the time, prog was new, as was fusion, and nothing quite like this existed, its unique from Weather Report or Herbies stuff or Mahavishnu, more interesting then non-fusion prog, as good as that stuff can be. So I really don’t hold anything against this album, it has its place. Though Ill listen to Romantic Warrior 20 times to every one time ill listen to this album.
