The neighbors who lived across the street (from me) were from India. They invited us to their Holi celebration one year. It was a blast! The food was great, and we had fun throwing Holi powder at each other, sort of like paintball, hehe. One of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. I will never forget it.

I love Hindu festivals. I got it celebrate Diwali 6 years ago and since then our hindu friends invite us for everything. The vibe, the gratitude, the food, the music, everything is top class. I love their culture and glad they maintain it in spite of moving to different countries. PS: Festivals have vegetarian food and Indians know how to cook vegetarian. That part of the show was meh.

depends on the community whether you get meat or not. If they are Gujrati/Marwari you wont. If they are Punjabi/Bengali you will get meat sometimes alcohol too

Punjab has the highest number of vegetarians in India, yes I was surprised as well!

I was in a lot of depression for last many months. My friend came home on Holi, I went to his house this Holi. I enjoyed Holi with other friends there as well and all the depression vanished. A new positive energy started again in my body & mind, I lost in joyness. These festivals are just amazing.

Holi is becoming bigger and bigger in the US. One of my Pakistani friends who has never been to holi went with us last weekend. She described it as the "best day of her life" and would celebrate it bigger and better next year

It started with the death of Holika the sister of evil asur Hiranyakashyap to save the great devotee of lord Narsingh the previous incarnation of lord Krishna much older time then lord Krishna. But yes Krishna made it more colourful and joyous may be the colour symbolised the colours of mother Nature during this time.

Respected Dineshshettyji🙏! I apologize for expressing a different topic. But it is necessary. Indian system is based on contradictions and hence it has corrupted our political wisdom and morality. It has ruined the social and religious atmosphere in our nation. Even the festival of holi is a subject of contradiction. I work independently and not a member of any political or social organization. My views are based on the scientific approach of India's constitution. In our country, almost all subjects have direct or indirect reference of caste/religion system. It is due the contradictions on fundamental subject like caste and religion system. This has turned our nation into a nation of educated illiterates, or in short a nation of fools. I sincerely want to end these conflicts/discussions arising out of history, caste and religion. I have been studying these subjects since 2012. I have so far submitted 1400 requests to Hon'ble President and Prime Minister till May 2022. I requested help for resolving such disputes once and for all through nationwide discussion. Religious and social harmony is as important as development. I quit my job in 2012 and started studying these topics and now I am in a position to do such nationwide discussions. I want to include every citizen of the country. I have developed such a special system of discussion according to the needs. It pays due attention to the following points 1) The delicate nature of issues like caste and religion 2) The satisfaction of all the participants 3) The vast population of our country consisting of educated and uneducated sections 4) The political system of our country. 5) It is capable of finding truth in unbiased manner. It is a legitimate, official effort to resolve all history, caste and religion related disputes in our country. That's why I am using the word official. It will happen if the government helps the process. How will this be done? 1) I must get Government's invitation and on this front I am unhappy with the government. However we dont condemn personal food choices. But on this auspicious day, i wd urge all of us to restrain from eating any animal. There are many things behind the festival Holi . It is a festival of colors messaging that make life colorful collectively . Forget hate , sorrow and be joyful . In India, this is a transition period of season and start of spring season. In this transition , mosquitoes increase . The evening fire on the Holi is a public event . That public event at nearly all houses sanitize the environment killing many bacteria , viruses present in the air . Mosquitoes too are get killed . This festival allows to remove psychological stress at mass level as well as individual level . In short it is a very good beneficial festival .

It has ruined the social and religious atmosphere in our nation. Even the festival of holi is a subject of contradiction. I work independently and not a member of any political or social organization. My views are based on the scientific approach of India's constitution. In our country, almost all subjects have direct or indirect reference of caste/religion system. It is due the contradictions on fundamental subject like caste and religion system. This has turned our nation into a nation of educated illiterates, or in short a nation of fools. I sincerely want to end these conflicts/discussions arising out of history, caste and religion. I have been studying these subjects since 2012. I have so far submitted 1400 requests to Hon'ble President and Prime Minister till May 2022. I requested help for resolving such disputes once and for all through nationwide discussion. Religious and social harmony is as important as development. I quit my job in 2012 and started studying these topics and now I am in a position to do such nationwide discussions. I want to include every citizen of the country. I have developed such a special system of discussion according to the needs. It pays due attention to the following points 1) The delicate nature of issues like caste and religion 2) The satisfaction of all the participants 3) The vast population of our country consisting of educated and uneducated sections 4) The political system of our country. 5) It is capable of finding truth in unbiased manner. It is a legitimate, official effort to resolve all history, caste and religion related disputes in our country. That's why I am using the word official. It will happen if the government helps the process. How will this be done? 1) I must get Government's invitation and on this front I am unhappy with the government. Even after 1400 requests, there is no response from the government. 2) Government should clarify my legal position, authority for the proposed discussion and stand of the Government on disputes. 3) What should be the basis of discussion? Will it be based on Hindutva philosophy or secular philosophy? This is very important. I am seeing completely opposite stand on fundamentals by our politicians since 2012. So I would rely only on written official communication from the government. 4) Infrastructure will be set up for nationwide discussion 5) Mental preparation (of all citizens) for discussion. I want to involve everyone. Every citizen of the nation should be actively involved in the resolution of caste and religious disputes. 6) Introduction to the special method of discussion. 7) Actual nationwide discussion and resolution on old religious and caste, history disputes I am sure about resolving all disputes. please support me Please request the government to give me an opportunity. Let us revive the social/religious harmony. Let us make our system rational and logical. Share it as much as possible. Let us make our country a wise nation. Avadhut Joshi
