Celebrating 60 years of Transport Heritage NSW | Mini Documentary

Ғылым және технология

From the first meeting in 1962, the establishment of the museum at Enfield, the move to Thirlmere in the 70s and transformation to Transport Heritage NSW in 2013 - the story behind our organisation is very special and almost the stuff of legend.
To celebrate 60 years since the establishment of the former NSW Rail Transport Museum (now Transport Heritage NSW), we’re excited to release this new short documentary on the organisation’s history. We're proud of our people, and our achievements, and how we are embedded in the broader story of NSW's rail history.
Special thanks to all the members and volunteers involved in this production: Graham Ahern, Ben Armstrong, Ben Barnes, Dale Budd, Ian Dale, Ted Dickson, Tony Eyre, Joy Eyre, Paul Hamilton, Ian Hill, Ajay Negi, Leon Rudd, Mitch Rudd, Ian Sheppard, Mary Wear and Helen Wiggers.

Excellent insight into the begging's of the museum and where it is now and the future, and it would not have happened if not for the volunteers. Congratulations to everyone involved.

You need to be 18 years old to volunteer but if you do want to start volunteering now, you will need to bring a guardian (parent, caretaker or anyone that is over 18) and have them with you throughout the entire day. Feel free to reply if you have any other questions.

@@MSTV_2024 Only idea I have would be to book a hotel close to thirlmere or something like that. You've got plenty of time to decide.

You need to be 17 to volunteer for the picnic train, is it the same as transport heritage?

@@MSTV_2024 No, you will still need a guardian to be with you even if you are 17.
