I had a problem in my ceiling fan, I am also an ECE engineering Student, I knew the concepts of the fan but was unclear what to do when my fan made a sound. Your Explanation was awesome. and now I found out that my shaft was worn out due to abrasion. So I'm going to try that punching the shaft method to make it run smoothly. Also, my Rotor and stator are grinding against each other, so I found out how to fix that too from your video.......Excellent explanation, keep working.

To maintain phase difference between two winding magnetic flux, the Starting winding is more resistive than running winding. Also starting winding have more number of turns and conductor size will be less and whereas running winding have less number of turns and size of conductor will be large compared to starting winding.
