Hey Cedric! My fiancé and I had the privilege of seeing you and your friend last summer at Briggs. Just wanted to say that your music makes us feel a whole lot of joy, despite the dark recesses of the soul that it comes from (according to you). Although blues came out of horrible situations, people such as yourself and your grandfather have transcended the suffering through it. Your grandfather was known to have an infectious smile. Life was\is hard for everybody, and that's why I think everyone can relate to the blues. Love you guys!!!

I grew up listening to some blues but mainly The Doors was blues to me because I didn't have a lot of options at the time.

Saw Cedric at the King Biscuit a couple years ago and got a chance to chat with him in Bubba's Blues Corner afterwards. Super nice guy, very affable. He took the time to talk (and take a picture with) to an old white guy about the blues and whatnot. I'm glad to see him carrying on in the tradition of R.L. and the Hill Country. Absolutely love what he's doing.
