That siren sounds fine to me. Just put the thing on a pole.
bout the only thing wrong is the tower its mounted on, thats not safe. the siren itself is in perfectly good shape, and they might need to hook it up to the county dispatch to set it off for tornadoes. but there's no need to replace that, as long as its working
Nothing wrong with the old Model 7 siren itself, just add a generator to it for backup, and a telephone relay to the PGA timer in the library for remote activation. Those, along with a new pole for it, would only cost about $1,000, versus $15,000+ for a whole new siren.
Replace the pole, repaint the siren!
Yeah, no need to replace a perfectly good siren just because of the pole its on.
