I think my favorite thing was you interacting with the ogre. Ogres are terribly misunderstood creatures, and have a terrific sense of humor. Also, Laughing Sal out of nowhere!

The witches Wheel was one of those spinning rides where you get locked in an individual cage and spun upside down lmao. Like a very fast Ferris wheel. It was really fun actually, I liked that ride a lot.

Got the chance to meet you there. It was an honor and pleasure.

That roller coaster plunge is the most terrorizing of all. The thing of nightmares. No way.

I guess I'm out of shape for Haunt Season cuz I jumped a BUNCH of times in those haunts and especially The Freak Show! Wow, that one set a high bar!! I've lost track of how many Haunt Seasons I've enjoyed of your, Jacob...but I'm with you for the long haul! Keep the great videos coming!!!

Those animatronics are pretty good! The people's costumes and makeup were great too.

Yay! I love spooky season content. Cedar Point was my home park during my teens and preteens. My grandparents took me to that park & my high school took us for the end of year trip. I rode several of those closed rides. The Mean Streak. & Mantis were roller coasters. Mantis was a standing ride. Disaster Transport was like a combination of a dark ride and indoor roller coaster. Now I’m in Texas and my home park is Six Flags Over Texas.

👍 Very nice meeting you yesterday! If anyone is s curious, Jacob is absolutely the nicest guy in person, that you see here on his channel. 😀 Jacob, I should also mention that this being the first night, a lot of things were off and the entertainment was limited to one show. The lines were amazing though. We only got through two of the haunted attractions last year because lines were 90 minutes or more. It's typically busier and scarier too.

Jacob, your enthusiasm and fun-loving spirit is infectious! I really wish every guest could have the same outlook on life as you do. All the love.

I think at least based on what we do at Sixflags STL (Mid America) we do the scares at night so it gives the chance the little kids a chance to avoid the scares and still enjoy the park. Boofest is what we call it I'm sure other sixflags do that too. I'm sure that's what Cedar pointe is trying to do too.

Loved the Pirate ride (dark ride) ! It was like the ghost house rides that you usually visit in the older parks. Lot of black light painted scenes and figures. I remember one scene took place "under water" and you would encounter a giant octopus. Also, this was my friend , Dustin Fisher's, first year of designing and creating many of the haunts and creepy shows at Cedar Point. So happy for him.

My now wife was terrified of the Pirate Ride as a kid and is overly happy to hear confirmation of its demise.

There’s only a few little tidbits of evidence of the pirate ride online at all sadly. I loved it so much as a kid. It wasn’t very good by any means but it had that handmade dark ride charm.

The Pirate Ride was a dark ride similar to Pirates of the Caribbean (of course it wasn't as good, but still fun), Frontier Lift was a second sky bucket that took you to Frontier Town and Disaster Transport was originally themed as Avalanche Run, an outdoor bobsled ride, it was later converted to a space themed dark ride and the robot from the ride is now in Gatekeeper's gift shop (the former location for the ride).

I loved all of those old rides , there used to be a second set of sky ride buckets that went back to frontier land

Pig man! Pig man! This gave off Cosmo Kramer vibes. Also, Pirate Ride was a phenomenal dark ride. Cedar Point needs to bring back more of these to have things to do when it rains.

Your reactions when getting scared were awesome! I used to go to Cedar Point every October for years. It’s been over a decade since I’ve been there and this video really brought back some memories. Great video.

Thanks for a fun video from my "home park" (even though I'm from Michigan). Have been to Halloweekends many times but have missed the last couple years. Regarding the ride cemetery, the Mean Streak was a sh-t shaker, roughest I've ever been on; yes, there was another sky ride in frontiertown, the Pirate ride was a cool dark ride that I loved, the current Rougarou was the former Mantis (stand up coaster) and Disaster Transport was an indoor bobsled coaster that couldn't run if it was raining because water would get on the track, lol. They just started on Thursdays in the last couple of years, usually there is very long wait times for the houses.

The Frontier Lift was an extension of the current Skyride. Mean Streak has been replaced by Steel Vengeance (technically it is the product of a conversion from Wood to Steel/Wood hybrid by Rocky Mountain Construction). Pirate Ride was indeed a dark ride. You can still go in the building that housed it during Halloweekends if you go to the kid's haunted house, Boo Hill. I worked at the park back in 2009 and it will forever be one of my faves

The “man eating chicken” animatronic is called the Farting Fatty! It was a super popular animatronic in haunts in the 2000s, I didn’t know they still made them.

Also Pirate ride was an amazing dark ride… loved it, they also had one called earthquake

I got hired by Cedar Point and was supposed to be working in a haunt but they didn't have a spot for me after going through all of the training and onboarding.

I always wondered what Cedar Points Halloween was like so thank you for taking us along! I used to go every year growing up. I remember a lot of those rides! Pirate ride was cool. The funhouse was an upside down house which is why that sign is upside down. Loved Shoot the Rapids and Earthquake.
