Nice build! Coils don’t Thermosiphon well, I suspect this works more like a batch heater(big coffee pot) and gulps and pulses as the water in the coil boils. Getting the coil lower and closer to the tub would help with this. A straight upward angle from the top of the coil up to the top port on the tub would also help a lot. Droops kill the thermosiphon flow. A coil with a steeper pitch would also help. With your fab skills, a vertical tube heat collector would not be out of the question and would have much faster flow and more efficient heat transfer…

Ad a ring at the bottom with holes for releasing air and power an air pump with a battery and solar. Similar set up too a blow up hot tub but using a solar set up if you don’t have power just for the air pump. My blowup tub is in my back yard working as it was intended right now with an ice tent over it because I have power. But I can use it off grid. My tent stove is set up with copper pipe and I have a power station and an air pump made so I can leave the main electrical base at home. All portable and it sets up in 15 min, fills in 30 min with a decent water pump and heats in a few hours. I’ve used it at the cottage like that because my gramps didn’t want to pay the electric bill and I was there for a few months. If I knew I might use it I just fire some wood in the stove.
