Thanks! Yes you are right. I have been looking for the remote variant for a long time now. All I find is the crappy modern recreations with the cheaper grills, blades and motor.

@@Theutmostgeek Yeah, I remember when I was in 6th grade, my teacher had two SMC wall fans. One of them being the pullchain variant, the other being the remote variant. Yeah these remote variants are still around, tho they're rare nowadays. I recently saw one but it was under the name "Tropical Breeze"

@@evilorb thats nice. I only remember seeing these and other rebadged pullchain variants unfortunetly. It seems we never got the remote variant here when the fans were still made by SMC.

Can i buy that off you lol 😅 Or i can give you my 1980s Xpleair Taurus fan for it as it is wall mount too

Aye nice to see you back bro! Most wall fans use a gearbox instead of a typical oscillation mechanism. Also, would you be willing enough to give up your Tatung as I really miss mine after I parted it out and scrapped it? It’s fine if not. I’ll get a 12” Super Asia or a Pifco Whirlwind instead.

If you are, swap the prongs on the plug for ones with the safety shield as I am gonna eventually swap the plug on my Pifco for another Delta MEM plug with the safety shields as I worry about getting electrocuted when plugging it in.

Thanks a lot bro. Yeah you are right about the gearbox. I dont think im gonna give up that tatung any time soon as its not in good shape cosmetically and I still have to oil its bearings up and add some new washers.
