Stone was at the funeral and according to the wiki he was the one to burn Caesar’s pier, even though the ape doesn’t fully resemble him. Nova and Bad ape were present but we’re present but not unscreen for whatever reason.

They likely didn't show Nova since her actress is 19-years-old now. Though I guess they could've recast or just shown her from the back but I get why they didn't want to bother doing all of that for a brief funeral scene.

@@xochitlyanes yeah that’s most likely the answer, it would have been nice seeing her again They could have recasted her, shown her from the back or use some makeup to make her look younger it would be kinda odd how Nova went from 12 years old to 19 years old in under a few hours

He’s prob gonna be the leader in future films if created and he can raise a mysterious son of Cesar and then the son can grow up and noa will be all evil and full of power since he’s the new leader the new king like scar in lion king and the mysterious son of Cesar can avenge the throne of his dying hero father and become the true heir to the throne and his kind

2:25 from what I read from his wiki page This is apparently Stone, the ape with the torch. He does look like stone from the side.

Finally we got a more satisfying death for ceaser. Also man is it kinda sad after seeing ceaser die knowing maurice said he wouldnt make apes forget him but sadly almost all of them did and/or miss interpreted what ceaser was as an ape.

Kingdom takes places 300 years after Ceaser's death so all of Cornelius's descendants would have been long stretched out over the years, unless apes develop technology to back track genetic linage, no one will know who is a true descendent of Ceaser, the only clue they will have is that they would be among the Chimpanzee species, because Proximus wasn't a chimp, he was a bonobo, the same species of ape as Koba

It was sad to see the death of Caesar, it was very emotional to see the funeral, it marked the final farewell to him and the ones we knew

If Caesar lived he would’ve still be the best protagonist in kingdom of the planet of the apes in over 3 centuries (300 years)

Caesar died for one reason. He died for all apes . And Maurice kept his promise for his son . After he died Maurice said to his son . Your father lead apes to a better place and he will be remembered forever.

if you notice just before the scene changes and the camera pans upward, look to where Ceaser is lying, and you'll see Rocket noticing something is wrong with Ceaser and walking to see what happened

I miss him😥😥. Im glad they put Caesar funeral in opening scene in Kingdom. Best leader and rest in peace.

I didn't expect to see Caesers funeral at the start of Kingdom and I especially didn't expect to see Maurice, Cornelius and Rocket, that was so awesome for me! I am curious to know, since the OG apes are only on screen for a minute max, did they just 100% CGI them in or did the actors still come back to perform the motion capture for the funeral scene!? Especially Andy serkis since Caeser is just laying
