Hello Anubhav, The video is so great. I am amazing about the power of CDS Views, but I have a question for you. CDS View is very power but it's just a view. It also means only selection query in one or many views . In some complex cases, we need caculate such as append, loop, if, and so on which is similar process in internal table. So, we can do it in CDS View ?

Dear Dung, Thanks for comments, You can use CDS Table function with NW 7.5 onwards which allows us to plug AMDP with CDS.

great video! Can you please also show how to update the primary key when you create new record? in the video you shown us, you only create one record and the primary key is empty, this will cause issue when you will insert another record with same empty primary key. Thanks!

Please change the data element of the table to /BOBF/UUID, it will work naturally.

I think you're right. In my project, Fiori Elements are considered as a things for consultant which don't need coding and provide some functionality. It's very difficult to meet customer's needs.

You say ui technology will change, so it's better to write annotations in CDS view. But what if the database technology changes?... Doesn't that tie the businesses to Hanna technology for ever?

Hello Ramin, The CDS views are written in ABAP layer, irrespective of DB we use, Hence it doesnt matter as long as you are on NW7.52 and above...Moreover we are now moving to new programming model where the CDS will also move to client side using client side Nodejs builds in SAP WebIDE Full stack. Hope this helps.

Ok, so I'm a little confused. If CDS moves to client (ie UI) aren't we again tied to UI technology?... Seems like every time we want to do a project in new Sap technology,by the time project goes live, it's already out dated. Sap changes their strategy.
