So gratifying to see young people with that amount of talent as well as commitment in a time when the arts are nearly absent in most schools. Gives me hope that creativity and exploration (critical components of intelligence) are not dead.
The fact that THOUSANDS of collective hours of dance practice and creative editing only requires a free click and four minutes is proof we are living in the future of world class entertainment! This deserves an Oscar for world’s best choreography!

65 y/o musician here from Oakland. Somehow I missed this Gem when it first came out. But now that I’ve found it I CANNOT GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD. I think I’ve listened to/watched this just about every single day for about 6 months; the remixes, all the gimmicky versions, vids about its production, the Emmy Award presentation w Prince, etc.etc. I just LOVE when somebody somehow just Channels something Completely New, Breathtakingly So. Yea, I know the simple repetitive classical guitar line was lifted from Luis Bonfa, but So What.. it’s much bigger than that. I really like the dance routine accompaniment too.
“How many times have you-“ “Yes.” This just amazes me. They’re in sync to a tee.
They are like a Kaleidoscope, the shapes and patterns, a succession of changing phases or actions! Strangely peaceful!

The best choreography I've seen in a very long time. Incredible. Precise. Committed. Big respect!
This is a literal masterpiece. The intensity of each dancer, the synchronicity and clean, sharp lines in movement but with the flawless execution in the flow of “chaotic” and extremely hard choreography. They absolutely killed this. I can’t stop watching, I mean it’s just SO captivating. Even the color scheme and outfits are perfect. The cinematographer has a beautiful way of shooting and telling this story. This entire piece is EXACTLY how this songs FEELS. Frustrating, prideful, bittersweet. I’m obsessed, and this has brought my love and hope of actual dance back, it’s been awhile so thank you CDK. This deserves ALL the praise and recognition.

I watch each person's expressions intently…👀 The WOD video was also powerful and awesome! ☂️A round of applause to everyone involved in creating this 👏👏👏
Amazing work & brilliant dancing - I'll be watching this for years!
NOW THIS... THIS IS ART. I've seen so many dance choreographies throughout my life but this is the first time I've seen a dance that makes you think it's ART. Dancing is an expression, it's an art. This is the type of dance that doesn't make you focus on one person only because everyone-- in their own individuality makes them whole. Everyone is just so amazing! Dancing isn't only about flashy and snappy moves; it isn't only about people doing backflips or popping your joints. It's about the expression through the movement of your body with or without the accompaniment of music, but this... THIS IS ART ACCOMPANIED BY MUSIC. The synchronization of different movements to ONE song is just so mezmerizing to watch. It's like watching an art piece come to life.

im in the same boat. i always identify with the man, and then the feminine part begins, and i think, nono, this is the part i identify with, and then i realize why this song was so popular all over again, because the lyrics and music are superb, they speak to core things all humans deal with, and watching it danced with an equal level of compassion, intensity, knowledge, passion, iand respect by a huge number of people, yes, it is awe inducing in every way, and awe so very often brings those tears that are at once profoundly good feeling, while at the same time, profoundly humbling, and what settles on you, is an understanding that you are now allowed, to really experience your feelings in real time as they are transformed by the performance. i managed to stop crying at this point. ha.

I think you should know that your comment is the reason that I watched this video - and I am so glad that I did! In fact, I’m just pausing to write this before watching it again! When I saw the listing, including the pop music title, I thought “Oh no! Not another KZread/TikTok dance challenge.“ Hip hop, Celtic, even ballroom are all fabulous, but also not really my “bag.” I have a background myself in modern dance and ballet. (although I’m 63 now and it’s some years since I’ve worked at the barre). I’m also a lifelong fan of Broadway musicals, especially when fabulous dance numbers are part of the show! Needless to say, then, that this was perfect! I loved every second of this fantastic creation and performance. But … I would have scrolled past and never would’ve seen it at all without your recommendation. So thank you, from the bottom of this old dancer’s heart!
I’m not someone who is typically drawn to watching dance. This was absolutely fantastic! Besides the outstanding choreography, I was also fascinated with the clothing, the color palette, and the camera work. I definitely had an emotional response to watching you all, and that is part of what art is about. Thank you all for entertaining me and making me feel something.

brilliant dancers, brilliant staging, brilliant dancing, it's just brilliant
I'm an uncoordinated computer programmer, but I have kept coming back and back to this for over a week now. I keep having Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" running in my mind with this like a mental split screen-- the fantastically creative, incredibly precise choreography with an unsettling mixture of pathos and whimsy that perfectly matches the song. Thank you very much for this gift! You are all an incredibly talented group!
I'm 70. This song has always ruptured my soul in connection with a long relationship with someone I was deeply in love with in the 80s, as a young woman. The choreography here is just mind and heart- blowing. Excellent. Moved me to tears, the music and the dance by these fantastic young dancers and which expresses the song so well. I'm sharing it now with that man, who's now 84! Because emotional experiences just don't recognize time. Maybe now he'll get it.

I had a few of those too. There was one who treated me like a dangerous person and this song echoes how I felt.
It is rare to see a dance group that doesn't have to resort to high flings, multiple back flip gimmicks and the same aged dance moves. This is consistent, co-ordinated brilliant choreography

The popular ones usually resort to acrobatics/flashy movement to be more engaging (but lose the uniqueness when it got popular), but the kind of contemporary dance groups like this one exist. Hopefully, other dance groups/acts could get the same attention too ❤
This performance will never get old for me.. Absolutely amazingly best ever. So creative. Such passionately involved dancers.
Holy Flying Circus! It’s the Ministry of Silly Walks starts a dance troupe! Everything about this is amazing. Monty Python possesses Bob Fosse
This dance had me mesmerized. I’ve been a dancer all my life (56 years old) and I have NEVER seen a dance troupe such as this! An absolute MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCE! Thank you all for your talent and dedication to your profession. Simply amazing. To the choreographer, I applaud your imagination and talent. BRAVO!!

I can't recall how many times I've watched this piece but each time I do I discover a new fashion detail, or move, or facial expression. An absolute masterpiece !
So, I want to rave about the art direction and the costumes. Every single dancer is unique and every one of them belongs together. The color palette, the textures, the fabrics, even the accessories are so exquisite. It still grabs me after watching this more than 30 times (kind of a daily ritual for me at this point).

This is exactly the kinda choreography I want to see in musical movies!!!! This video deserves an award for the spectacular dancing!!!!!!!!!
The world is fortunate to have this talent for all to see free on KZread. Incredible choreography, cinematography, costumes, lighting and dancing.
Exceptional. I was sure this was a song that could not be danced to at first. It had already done it's job in the original video, but this was an energetic explosion of expression. That chair kick was every thing.
Phantastische choreographie... Ist unglaublich 😍
A complete TRIUMPH of choreography, cinematography, , costume, location, musicality, technical execution on so many levels including the CONTROL these dancers needed to execute the full out choreography with such crisp undisturbed stops. As a Gen X’er I appreciate the group assembly dances, they remind me of the old black and white movies I use to watch when I was little on Saturday afternoons, such beautiful choreography .❤ This was genius! I didn’t realize people still spent this much time together in order to be able to do this, thanks!
Former professional dancer here; RESPECT!! This makes me so happy! It's so original, creative, and technically perfect I had to watch it over and over again with a big grin on my face. It’s called retirement. Eventually we all get there if we are lucky and I was. Sad that you take compliments right to a negative place. I wish you the best though in your journey. Hopefully you learn to uplift others instead of putting them down it makes for a much more fulfilled life. As the quote goes by Robert Ingersoll “We rise by lifting others”. Phenomenal. The choreography. I haven't saved a choreography video in ages... It's so deceptively simple, so technical. Each movement marries the lyrics. A visual delight. I'm just... Dumbfounded. The art direction. The costumes - so individualized and yet, so homogeneous with the central theme. The color palette, textures, the fabrics, the accessories. Even the tattoos belong. The bell bottoms, the shine on the shoes. The editing. The camera moving with the dancers. Some of the best zoom work I've noted. Not one frame out of place. Not one breathe out of place. I wish we got to see the making of this beauty. I wish we got to hear the raw dance, I expect goosebumps with the feet taps on the wooden floor. The sound of the jumps, the occasional grunt. This team deserves to be flown in to perform at the Grammys or Academy Awards or something. Calling this a masterpiece is not enough. What have you all done? 💔 It's like... The universe conspired to land you all in this project. ❤ from 🇧🇩
