My mom stopped smoking cigarettes. When I was only 10 years old, my little sister convinces my mom to quit smoking, because smoking has caused the death of many people during previous years, my dad quit smoking and stop drinking alcohol when my paternal grandmother has died from Alzeimer illness.

Jessie Wilson III As much as I agree with you, tobacco is still thought to be cool, so while non-smokers like you and me would likely think a ban is overdue, it's really not. Take a look at illegal drugs, for example. They were banned to improve the health of the public, but now, drug use is on the rise. I believe that if smoking was banned in our time, we'd see the same thing with tobacco.

The problem is money. Like it or not tobacco is a multi billion dollar industry. I am a nonsmoker smoker myself. Both parents died of smoking related illnesses. As much as I would love for that to happen, it's just not realistic because there is too much money involved.

I don't like it, either, but we can't just make everything we don't like illegal. That's not very effective anyway.

@@AintGotNothinOnUs We can if it's proven not productive and has a negative impact on society. If something is illegal it's always for a good reason, if we don't like something then taking actions to prevent ppl from being harmed is necessary. Just like we don't like stealing, murder or vandalism which is why it's illegal. It is actually quite effective because it's literally the reason you're able to sleep at night.
