Which version are you flying in this video? the light version or the hard version? thanks...

I have been waiting to see the CCM Toy in the air! That last flight loosked better, what changes did you make? Did the wind pick up? Maybe some thermaling or in-land slope 'slermaling' shots if you can. I bet that is where it really shines! Thanks

Wind was about the same. I reduced elevator throw greatly! Added a bit of diff to the ailerons and a lot of expo. Basically the tails where overpowering the Ailerons in the turns. Last run was really good! I need to do some more tuning. I plan to thermal it for sure, but don't have a place right now because of the virus situation.

Yeah IDK..... if you compare the first couple of runs to the last couple of runs and look carefully at the pilots white T-shirt, it looked like his shirt was moving more, which = a bit more wind, which = more lift, which = more speed during the last 2 runs. Also, come on, it was the first time he had flown it, and was his maiden flight, AND his settings at the beginning were WAY off........WAY too little aileron throw, WAY too much elevator throw, not enough aileron differential & expo. PLUS......keep in mind, It was the 1st time he had flown it, and so then later after starting to dial in the settings better, he just got more used to flying it.

I love mine! I have since acquired the hard layup it comes out to about 1100 g.AUW empty. Really rocks on the slope. Just like a mini F3 F ship. I haven’t tried it thermalling yet.

Being in the middle of power Michigan, I'd have to drive to Lakes, Michigan, Erie or Huron.

Yeah, i've flown a lot of SC2 comps with TOSS over the years. Haven't been to their new field, do they have a slope? The place this video was shot is generally not available to fly. Some of the guys that fly there have an arrangement with the city and can get access once in a while to hold a race.

@@flightcomp Yes there is a slope in Wood Ranch It is between Simi and T.O contact the club they will give you direction. There bis another one of Kanan Road in Agoura hills also good for DS. Than there is Snake Hill I am not sure if it is accessible any longer. Talk to Art Chmielewski
