I can only imagine how Lori, Leni, Lucy, Lana, Lily, Ronnie Anne, Sid, Bobby, the Casagrandes, the McBrides, and the Changs would react to the criticized Louds calling Lincoln a Life-Ruiner.

Man, this episode was something else. While I like Lincoln helping Lynn and his family, everything else really can’t be ignored. I do agree that it’s very immature for the family to not being able to handle criticism when NOTHING in this world is perfect. The contradictions to other episodes was definitely another big offender as they handled something like this much more better. Just the fact that the family just straight up hates Lincoln afterwards was so bad and makes you wonder what kind of a family this is. But despite all of that, I’m very glad Lincoln had a very tough skin and was able to deal with everyone and make things better. Truly reminds me why he’s my favorite, as he reminds me of myself, always wanting to help others, no matter what, despite the obstacles. Definitely a very conflicting one for me, but I’d rather this than No Such Luck anytime of the day. Absolutely fantastic review, homie.

What I REALLY hated was the fact BOTH of the parents looked ready to punish Lincoln for what he did...which was essentially nothing except bring to light people hated their family's skills at times. I swear, Lynn and Rita can be pretty bad parents on occasion; not as bad as the Turners or Griffins...but still halfway there

I mean, at least the other half of Lincoln's sisters (Lori (who is still in college at this time), Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Lily) didn't join in on calling Lincoln a life ruiner since they didn't had any critics to deal with. But on the other hand, maybe the Loud House fandom was right after all: Lincoln's family can be heavily dysfunctional towards him.

Honestly this is par for the course of the show. While the fanbase and critics often sinde Lincoln as selfish (which yes, he can be) when every single time his sisters and his parents are so much worse than him. As so many episodes often involve them ganging up or blaming Lincoln when a problem hits them. Any time Lincoln makes a mistake or does something, their ire is always a one sided finger point, as it feels like they MUST put the blame on him. Yes, Rita and Lynn Sr included, to the point where it comes off as blatant parental favoritism, as they never show any sort of anger toward any of the other girls. Rita is especially worse in that regard. Honestly as the show went on, Rita and Lynn went from bumbling, but charming parents with a good bit of humor to insufferably spineless parents to who constantly make stupid decisions, play favoritism between Lincoln and the Sisters to the point where they are comparable to Mr and Mrs Turner, especially with how they often treat or single out Lincoln.. At least Lincoln is just selfish at times, but honestly the entire family have been equally as selfish and have done worse things to Lincoln than he's done to him, and more often than not it usually involves them as a group either getting angry at him or blaming him. The only likable sisters are Lucy and Lori. As the latter was more kind as the show went on and wasn't their to gang up on him, while the former was one of the few sisters who didn't blame Lincoln. It's one of the reasons the show became so annoying to watch. Everything MUST be Lincolns fault and he MUST be the direct cause of their ire whenever a conflict happens to them, almost as if they use him as a lighting rod to cover up something they don't want to deal with. As for the episode itself, it feels like a Rehash of No Such Luck, where Lincoln has to "help" Lynn with a problem, only for the family to turn on him as a result of trying to "help Lynn"..

This video was so cathartic! Every point you made, was well done! Especially tearing into that horrible scene of the family blaming Lincoln. Any sympathy they had, was destroyed, when they outright called Lincoln a life-ruiner. And never apologized for it, which is downright despicable. They deserved to be heckled, if this is what they choose to do. Scapegoat Lincoln, with even his parents getting in on it. All that respect I had for them... is dead.

Looking back at this Season 6 Loud House episode, while I still don't like The Taunting Hour, I do have a bit of a soft spot for this episode now since I will agree that it's always not easy to accept criticism since you can't tell if the person who's criticizing you is either being brutally honest with you like Gordon Ramsay and Siskel & Ebert, or just flat out hates you because he/she just likes to torment you. But nevertheless, you can't say that all criticism is bad since there are actually some great critics out there like Gordon Ramsay, Gene Siskel & Roger Ebert, The Angry Video Game Nerd, The Loud House Critic, and of course, SteamTeamRedubUK. But still, at least the other half of Lincoln's sisters (Lori (who is still at college this time), Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Lily), Cheryl, Luna's band mates, Chunk, Kataro, and Lincoln's friends, Lynn Jr.'s soccer teammates are perhaps the main likable characters in this episode. Especially since the other half of Lincoln's sisters weren't involved with the critics situation and didn't even call Lincoln a life ruiner as well. Also, there are some good moments in The Taunting Hour as two of my favorite moments in this episode are Lynn Sr. chasing Vanzilla as he accidentally parked it incorrectly, which is karma for calling Lincoln a life ruiner, and Lynn Jr. acting like an emu for a moment, which definitely gave me a big chuckle while watching this. And after The Taunting Hour, I feel that this Season 6 Loud House episode will definitely become No Such Luck 2.0 as every single Loud House fan is going to constantly defend Lincoln now, no matter what he does. I even nearly felt like giving up on The Loud House after The Taunting Hour as I felt that this episode came off as a big insult to Loud House fans and critics at the same time as I nearly lost my mind when I first watched TTH. But luckily, things did actually got quite better later on in Season 6 of The Loud House as I did managed to stick around with Season 6 of TLH for a while. Well, except for some other bad Loud House episodes like Time Trap!, Doom Service, and The Hurt Lockers. This is Vampire Fan 1992 here and I hope you enjoyed my revisit/new thoughts on The Taunting Hour.

Just something I want to admit about The Loud House Movie (2021) is that I actually predicted that in a Revenge of the Sith (2005) scenario, Morag was going to manipulate Lincoln into joining her on ruling Loch Loud and turning the Loud family against each other and Lincoln accepts since both Morag and Lincoln can agree that even though they're both the caretakers for the Loud family, they both want peace and quiet since they both can admit that they can't stand the Loud family's daily antics towards the two, in which they both want revenge on them now.

This is actually the first episode that I will consider absolutely abysmal since season 2. It basically had the same writing from "Brawl in the Family", with a little bit of "Making the Grade" mixed in. Lynn flatout threw Lincoln under the bus by telling the family how he reminded her that everyone in the family has a hater, and then tells him to tell his family the things their haters say. And as a result, everyone blames Lincoln for reminding them something they should've known about in the first place. And you know what? I can actually see the sisters getting mad at Lincoln and calling him a "life ruiner". But THE FREAKIN PARENTS HAD TO SAY THAT? They flatout brought their abusive behavior from No Such Luck over to this episode. What the hell were they thinking? I don't really need to say much else!

Looking at all of these comments of everyone complaining about the scene where the Loud parents and half of Lincoln's sisters call Lincoln a life ruiner in this Season 6 Loud House episode, I'm starting to think that this episode is probably going to be like "No Such Luck" again since after that Season 2 Loud House episode, everyone kept complaining about that episode, to the point that there were numerous fanfics and rewrites about that Loud House episode as well. But in all fairness, we should be lucky that at least Lori, Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Lily didn't join in on calling Lincoln a life ruiner, so that's something great, I guess.

Not to mention that in the No Such Luck sequel fanfics, usually what will happen is that Lincoln would either run away from his family (until they, especially Lynn Jr., all apologized for their actions towards Lincoln and show that they all love Lincoln and not treat him like a black sheep, like in most Loud House fanfics where Lincoln runs away from his family after their constant mistreatment towards him) or end up getting killed or injured as the Loud family's karma for what happened in No Such Luck and even taking advantage of him as well.

@Yovan Jacob I know I might have said this many times before, but like I said, ever since the Season 2 Loud House episode "No Such Luck" came out, many Loud House fans are now bashing every Loud House episode that feature a scene where Lincoln is being mildly tortured, even if it's for a small part in that episode. And to make matters worse, after No Such Luck and even Schooled!, many Loud House fans (especially YoshiPlayer and Cartoonshi) are now quitting the Loud House fanbase. But in my opinion, at least Schooled! wasn't too mean spirited towards Lincoln, compared to No Such Luck and I am still a Loud House fan, no matter what people say about the show now.

Three things: 1. I think the writers or the producers from The Loud House are looking for some disappointments by some other people who watches the show. When I watched this episode, Lincoln was only trying to help Lynn and his family to get over their critics, but they claim that he’s a life ruiner? Who would write that and make us enjoy it? I’m feeling bad for Lincoln *ONCE AGAIN* because anytime he tries to be helpful, there’s always gotta be some nonsense going on. Whether it’s his family, his friends, or his antagonists. I’m sorry to say this, but, Lincoln seriously needs to stop sighing, and man up for once, but, not in a bad way. All in all, I rate this episode a 4/10. 2. I’ve been thinking, throughout the previous episodes I’ve been watching recently, I’m wondering what’s been going on with Chandler and Scoots? Because I got a feeling that they don’t get the respect that they deserve. Are they having a rough time with their lives, like family issues, bad education, or misery? I would like to know why is Chandler still acting like a redheaded jerk towards Lincoln, and his friends. I would like to know why is Scoots acting like a elderly karen in any episode she appears in. And, I would like to know if any upcoming episodes involves their past on why are they having their attitudes built like that, I can respect it. But, I can’t respect and appreciate them because of why are they treating others with their attitudes. 3. I just got one question after watching this episode. *Why couldn’t they just make a better plot, a better episode, a good storyline, and we would like their episodes easily with no problems?* Because episodes like this, including No Such Luck, Brawl In The Family, Seasons Cheating, Schooled, No Bus No Fuss, and Broadcast Blues makes other people and I would write a fanfiction, or make Goanimate or Wrapper Offline videos to build up alternative endings. Note: I’m sorry that this long for you to read.

To be honest, I'm rather mixed with this episode. On one hand, this episode DOES at least try to talk about how to deal with heckling unlike how the Nosh episode handled it. On the other hand, some scenes were rather intense along with unnecessary harsh words being said. Despite this, I'm not gonna giving up on the show, 'cause I would like to believe Lincoln's family (excluding Lori, Leni, Lucy, Lana and Lily) didn't really meant what they said, but were only saying during a heated moment instead. 'Cause those scenes of themselves imagining their hecklers taunting them mercilessly was too overwhelming. I didn't realize they were THIS insecure about themselves, even though it seemed like nothing ever bothered them no matter what they do. Keep in mind that while he says that he can handle the taunting and mocking, Lincoln did broke when he unintentionally wrecked the town of Loch Loud with his dragon ride, even though it was secretly caused by Morag herself. I mean, I know it may not seem like to others, but I feel like Season 6 is at LEAST trying to improve the show since most fans did not like how certain episodes of Season 5 were portrayed. I'm not saying this to prove your point wrong or anything, I'm just also pointing out that sometimes even the most unfazed or sane person can have some fragile or meltdown moments too.

And with Lincoln getting treated like a punching bag throughout The Loud House, I wouldn't expect if there was a future Loud House episode like Shop Girl where someone helps Lincoln have a chance to stand up and rebel against his family after being fed up of being treated like a black sheep by them or if there was a Loud House episode à la It's a Wonderful Life with Lincoln wishing that he was never born, only to realize that if he was never born, then everyone and everything he knew and loved would never be the same. There was the makings of a pretty good Lincoln and Lynn episode here, but getting the rest of the family involved dragged things down. The only people to experience the same thing as Lynn are Lincoln and Luan. Scoots heckles Lynn just to be a heckler. Chandler picks on Lincoln because he can. Luan's online troll leaves the same negative comment just to be a duche. For those three, none of the heckling is specific, its just done for what has to be their own amusement. Strangely, the negative response Lynn Sr and Lola received is oddly reminiscent of some of the critiques I see in the show. On the one hand Lola doing what she's good at gets her judged harshly for not doing something new, while Mr Grouse just wants Lynn Sr to stick to cooking lasagne, i.e. just sticking to the formula that worked in the past. A feel like there is a potentially good Luna episode in here somewhere. Maybe Luna takes the Managers criticism to heart because she thought they had a good working relationship and finding out she doesn't like the band's music hurts. Anyway, yeah, the ending sucked. Lincoln deserved an apology. Say what you will about episodes like Cereal Offenders, but at least the sisters try and make it up to him at the end of that one!

I understand moral of not letting harsh criticism get in the way of doing something you love which is good, but it doesn’t mean all constructive criticism is bad and should always be ignored. Okay Scoots, Chandler, and who wrote the second letter were saying harsh and unfair criticism, but the others weren’t. Maybe Lynn Sr did do something wrong, maybe Rita needs to give better advice, maybe the others need to do something new and less boring. Like Big City Green episode Boss Life said sometimes constructive criticism is there to help you improve and just because your good at something it doesn’t mean you can’t be criticized, they were being way too arrogant. The fact that they called Lincoln a life ruiner and don’t apologize does make them look like suck up crybabies who can’t handle the smallest criticism. It’s one of the episodes that has a good moral, but is badly executed.

I was wrong when I said the episode was badly executed. The execution is meh to me. My problem of the episode is how two full grown adults just now learning a simple lesson from their twelve year old son. They're both on their fourth decade of their lives and they're just learning about ignoring your hecklers and building a thick skin? It doesn't make any sense. Through out their lives they experience people criticizing them. I know it's a kid's show and everything is exaggerated, but it's too ridiculous though lol. It would've been more believable and funny if the parents pretended they knew the lesson all along, because of their pride kept them from admitting that they didn't know that.

If it makes you feel better, the other half of Lincoln's sisters (Lori (who is still in college), Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Lily) didn't join in on calling Lincoln a life ruiner since they didn't get any criticism from anyone. And when I saw the comments about everyone hating the scene in this Season 6 Loud House episode where Lincoln's parents and half of his sisters calling him a life ruiner, it gave me No Such Luck vibes, since after that Loud House episode came out, everyone wouldn't stop bashing that episode for its extremely cruel and mean spirited tone towards Lincoln and even took their anger out on Chris Savino, Karla Sokas Shropshire, Lynn Jr. (in which it caused a lot of Loud House fans to loathe and despise Lynn Jr. to this day), and even the Loud family in general.

I know that I'm in the minority when stating this, but I actually really enjoyed "The Taunting Hour" and thought it was the best of season 6 thus far. It's one of the rare modern Loud House episodes that I felt like came straight from the Savino era, for better or worse. Sure, it had the classic "The entire Loud family except Lincoln is portrayed as the same antagonistic character" trope from season 1, which I agree feels like a cop-out from the show's crew. However, I didn't mind it this time around because Lincoln is able to keep the situation under control without resorting to making himself look worse than his sisters and parents. In fact, I would dare say this episode is "No Such Luck" done right; it has the same basic premise of Lynn accusing Lincoln of ruining her life, but does it a lot better because her anger comes from a justifiable place this time around, and Lincoln never loses his cool trying to make her and the rest of his family happy again. On that note, I was genuinely surprised by how mature Lincoln was in this episode. If Chandler wasn't established to have been an irredeemable ass in season 5, I would have viewed Lincoln's advice to be a great example of how the decision to age everybody up by one year could keep the series from growing stale. In fact, this episode was so good, it's the embodiment of what I know NOT to expect from modern Loud House. A relatable, realistic story that balances the potentially cruel elements out with heart? Woah! A good moral that doesn't give any characters unfair retribution? Oh my god! Character development that feels natural? No way! Season 5 of The Loud House wasn't outright terrible in my opinion, but it was definitely the most FLAWED season of the whole lot thus far. The best episodes took advantage of the newfound freedom that the status quo changes brought to create some of the most inventively amazing installments of the entire show, but the worst episodes exaggerated the most irritating aspects of prior seasons to create the lowest of the low. Yes, even worse than "No Such Luck" and "Brawl in the Family". It actually reminds me quite a lot of SpongeBob's fifth season: the crew behind the series wanted to shake things up by creating scenarios that defied the show's conventions. Half the time it worked really well, but the other half of the time, it bombed big time. That's why I've consider what little we've seen of season 6 so far a bounce back in the show's quality: there are more consistent highs that are similar to season 5's best entries, while the weakest episodes are just okay, rather than unbearable. I seriously hope that season 5 was just the Loud House crew going through some growing pains, and that they're able to keep up the momentum they started to create the first genuinely amazing post-Savino season. I hope to go more in-depth about this when season 5 of The Loud House comes out on DVD, thus giving me the opportunity to apply my signature review style to that very mixed bag of an episode batch.

The episode only proves the creators can't take criticism, as the entire episode tries to make even the slightest of criticism look bad and devilish. Along with that, the episode teaches a very bad moral: "If someone is criticizing you, ignore them", which is not good since criticism, although can be nasty, can actually be a beneficial process, in the case of constructive criticism. For example- this page is constructive criticism, as it's explaining why this episode is bad with good evidence and what could have been good. But the episode just makes all criticism look bad, which is definitely not gonna help people. Not to mention, having only ONE hater, which all the characters have is easy to deal with, as all you have to do is ignore them and look on the positive sides...which we guess is impossible in the episode. And Luan's hater, "Youre_Not_Funny_123" (yes, that's actually their name) literally only comments "Not funny". That is not a realistic representation of haters.

I heard that this one was bad and thoguht that I was lucky to have missed it. When this review came out, I decided to check it out, see if it was as bad is everyone said it and as I thoguht it would be. And let me tell you it did NOT disappoint. This is awful, truly truly awful. Lincoln a bit of an idiot in it for starting this thing, and for telling his family to their faces what they critics said even though he should have known that would make them upset. But don’t let me wrong as bad as his family, (some of them anyway) are even worse! Yeah, guys go right ahead and SHOOT THE MESSNGER. NEWS FLASH IDIOTS HE WASN’T THE ONE SAYING THOSE THINGS. What you don’t like being criticized guys well boo-freakin woo. Guess what NO ONE DOES. NO ONE LIKED to be criticized we all WISH that whatever we put out in the world would be universally acclaimed. But that not how life works we all face criticism the good ones listen to it, and see if they can improve on it, NOT I repeat not INGORE IT. That’s not how you deal with critic that how you deal with trolls and haters, which by the way that’s seems MUCH more like what they were dealing with. Saying person is funny isn’t criticism, saying a ribbon dancing route is boring isn’t criticism and saying food sucks isn’t a criticism. For the show to say that is both mind numbingly stupid and outrageously false. And then you have family saying Lincoln ruined their lives. No no no no no NO. what he his fault are all he did was saying you have critics, what you have liked better? to think you were fine and the found out that you weren’t and lose? To never have a chance to improve yourselves. To live in fantasy world where you do no wrong, and cant improve yourself? Yeah, that’s not going to set yourself for disaster latter in life! But no Lincoln ruined their live so question for all of ya. Hey Lola when Lincoln taught you how to read and almost took the fall for you was, he ruining your life. Hey Luan when Lincoln help you run your business was, he running your life? Hey Lisa when he makes that sandwiches you love is he ruining your life? Hey Lynn, jr (this is partly your fault by the way you started this and where the one who opened your big mouth at diner like an idiot). when got you on the football team was, he ruining your life? This is for all of you when he doing any of the numerous nice things that he did for you was he running your life? I hate to be the guy who bring this up, but he didn’t ruin your lives you ruined his. You team up on him constantly, ignore him when he needs you, treat him like a pariah sometimes, and hurt him a lot, especially in the early seasons. Lisa, you act like your lab rat, Lynn Jr your almost a bully to him, Lola your threatening him and tattle on him. Luna…ok you may be as bad as the others but still. Rita and Lynn sr. if you two would show SOME BACKBONE and crack down when your family, especially the sisters, get out of control he wouldn’t have to act more responsible then you half the time! You know that God almighty or whatever you believe in that not all of his family were terrible in this and that unlike some other epaosides, I can at least understand what they were going for, or this would be even worse than it already is and keep in mind this is terrible. This is bad, this is way worse than anything else in latter seasons, at least in “strife of the party” I got why Lana got mad. This? This? No just no 2/10 and your idea for the epoaside is about milllion times better when what we got.

My version: Lincoln (angry) : You are idiots ! Lola : What did you say ? Lincoln (angry) : I SAID YOU ARE IDIOTS !!! You give more importances to the results of my help than the reason why I help you. Yeah! I do it because I love you and I care for you just like I did it before. And YOU !!! You call me a life ruiner and you critic me just because I tried to be a good brother and son !!! Don't tell me you forgot all what I did for you and especially the time I saved you from Morag !!! You know what. The problem here is not me who ruined your lifes it's you who didn't understand what I learned you, put the blame on me AND take it out on me !!! Only one last thing. You guys get mad at me for stupid reasons . You're jerks ! You're COMPLETE JERKS ! YOU'RE A BAD FAMILY !!! ( Lincoln goes to his room ) Rita : Lincoln ... ( Lincoln stops ) Lincoln: I want to be alone. ( And he leaves ) ( Leni with Lincoln's phone Lucy Lana Lily and Lori who phoned Lincoln looks the others with anger ) Lana ( to the others ) : Nice job! Lucy : Are you happy now ? Leni : It was mean and mediocre. Lori ( at Lincoln's phone) You should be literally ashamed of yourselves. Lily : poor incoln.

My Version: Lincoln: I was only trying to help. Lynn: Help! I think you helped quite enough today! Lola: You Just go around ruining lives! Others:Life ruiner! Lincoln: Okay if it’s how you feel. Maybe I won’t help you anymore. (Then runs into his room trying to hold back tears) (Lori who is on the phone with Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Lily who overheard glare at them) Lynn Sr: Kinda of a crybaby right? Lori: Your one to talk. Leni: You know your critics aren’t the problem, it’s your hearts. You all deserved what you got. Come on let’s go comfort Lincoln. (The others feeling guilty)

In my opinion, this episode is f*cking awful. Not as horrendous as no such luck, but it is very close to being just as bad as that. Very very close! I don’t think the writers know what they were doing at this point when creating this episode. We want good episodes, not that garbage. Taunting hour is nothing but a huge train wreck. I’m definitely giving this episode a red flag. And something tells me that the writers of the loud house can’t handle criticism which is why they made this crappy episode.

I have to agree this is the worst episode of season 6 Lincoln gets treated like a punching bag for no reason and all the characters on a lesson that they should have learned years ago it's just a really cruel episode which made Lincoln look like the mane antagonist for no reason I would say it's the worst episode of series it's not even close but it is the cruelest episode of season 6 and you're really pathetic one

You're all missing the point of the episode. It's a good life lesson about how we should not let what others say stop us from doing what we love doing. It's a pretty important lesson to learn, especially for the future, since in real life not everyone is going to like what we do. And for those of you who say "they need to permanently learn their lesson," we could say the same about us in real life, now, couldn't we? It's quite unrealistic and silly to expect even fictional characters should remember things each and every time. Besides, if they did, the show would be boring! Very overhated episode in my view, and personally one of my favorite Season 6 episodes. P.S. Question: How come it's OK for the Wonderlanders to try to KILL Alice in Disney's 1951 film or Andy Davis' toys to try to kill one of their own and stop caring about him because of an accident, but not for the Louds to just scold Lincoln? If you ask me, the former two are WAY worse.
