I remember the Yankees got eliminated by the Red Sox in the postseason six years ago. Angel Herandez was an umpire that series. CC went on a 10 minute rant about how terrible he was

@DemBlox CC Sabathia, from what I have heard, is an as s. He was likely mad that he didn't pitch well that night, so he wanted to find a scapegoat.

I always respected CC Sabathia as a fan rooting against him as a White Sox fan but loved this show and his perspective. I had no idea CC was so awesome to listen to and seems like a great guy. Thanks, guys. New CC fan here. Take care.

I tore my shoulder Sophmore year in high school pitching. Went from throwing mid 80s to barely hitting 70 mph. I had knee surgery already at 12 years old so I chose not to have surgery on my shoulder and not play anymore. But it was definitely from over pitching, 100+ pitches a game 3 times a week

CC pointing out that they are throwing from age 9 straight to the big leagues year round is so true, and has been for a while. I played in little league with a kid throwing 70-75 when the other kids were throwing 50-55 so naturally most kids just stood in the box too scared of getting hit to even swing and he got free strikeouts. His coach also made the schedule and worked it to where they could pitch him in almost every game. In high school he threw a no hitter a few times, was #1 in the state, and in college threw a single no hitter, and by the time he made it to the end of college, had thrown his arm out so many times he needed surgery and was a benchwarmer in the Canadian league for a year or two and then was cut and works a normal job like the rest of us now paycheck to paycheck. Best pitcher I ever played against by a mile and just destroyed his arm by time he was 24.

My son is an umpire for 2 states at the middle and high school level. The 'travel leauges' are notorious for not enforcing piich counts for kids. No kids should have TOmmy John before they are old enough to drive, let alone graduate from high school.

My sons travel team is 8u and the coaches make sure to have atleast 5 pitchers for tournament and doesn’t let them pitch back to back games which I love. We face a team today and they used the same pitcher the whole game we put up 13 runs on him and I could tell by the 2nd inning the kids arm was dead but their coach kept him in the entire game bro had to throw atleast 60-70 pitches. He should’ve been taken out after the first inning he had already thrown a shit ton of pitches that first inning. Some travel teams care about winning only others care about their players before winning. I was lucky enough to find a team for my son that puts the players first and winning 2nd and they don’t just say it they actually do it

I cant believe that mlb and players dont understand how to avoid injuries and why theyre on the rise. Is for one thing and very simple. They do not train for withstanding more throws they only train for increasing velocity. Tell me which pitcher in the offseason goes all the way to 100-150 pitch bullpens? Nobody absolutely nobody. The only way to be prepared to throw 100 throws in the game is that in the offseason you slowly progress all the way to 100-150 throws. You might call me crazy to encourage offseason bullpens of 100-150 throws but its even crazier to think that 30 pitch bullpens will prepare you to throw 100 in the game. That is foolish nonsense. The arm doesnt know how many throws is doing it only knows stress. If youve only throwing 30 pitch bullpens and then increase it all of the sudden to 100 youre increasing more than double of what your body can handle. Now if you slowly progress in the offseason to 150 throws your body and arm are going to get use to that stress. But pitchers from today dont give their body the opportunity to get use to the stress. They think that fancy exercises or better mechanics will do it. Or they think that there is something else that will do the magic. It doesnt exist. The only thing you can do to prepare your body to throw 100 pitches in the game and remain healthy is that you slowly progress to those numbers of throws in the offseason. Period nothing else will do the job but that. Sometimes you only need logic and common sense to solve a problem. Its ironic that sometimes common sense is the least sense the human uses.

@@christoph1596you're right. I'm not from Cleveland and I just read up on the Guardians name and the reason behind it. It's not about being called a Guardian City. Instead, it has to do with some type of sculptures or artwork from the 1930's on or near a bridge. This artwork is called the "Guardians Of Traffic" or something like that. I still think of them as the Indians.
