I just want to say as someone who speaks a bit of both spanish & korean I love how flawless the editing is here, it really felt like they understood each other with no translation pauses.

In this case, the Latina counterpart knows Korean (she on the variety show 'Shooting Star') so there probably wasn't any translation needed on that end, but they did do a good job with making it seem like the Korean counterpart understands Spanish.

It's fun that these videos are very intentional about bridging the language barriers and making us all understand. Me encanto ver la diferencia en los looks. Loved seeing the difference in the looks, she's totally write in what's emphasized in Latin America and even the diaspora is kind of the opposite of Korea. Also didn't even know that part under the eye had a name!

tbh i believe that hyerin suits the cat eye shape far more than the puppy eye shape! You can see the difference here 16:00

I think I prefer the puppy eye shape, but the cat eye shape looks nice on her too!

The editor did so good in matching and cutting that it looks like they could 100% understand eachother with no problems.

i genuinely love how makeup is worn differently in different countries, it’s really really cool!! 💖

This video really demonstrated how different makeup can be seen and used in others with completely different nationalities. Although the awesome part about makeup is that we can use it however we want, at the end of the day, it is undeniably true that certain makeup styles _simply just_ look better on us based on our unique facial features 😮 Like we can mimic others styles all we want, however, that doesn't always mean that it'll look bomb on us as well. Overall, wonderful job! Both lovely ladies were delightful to watch.

I feel like it would've been even cooler to compare Korean makeup products to Western makeup products. They are VERY different although nowadays you can actually get light coverage and sheer western makeup products. But most from what I've seen are very full coverage, strongly pigmented and made for glam

People who wear makeup are amazing. I don't even like to spend five minutes in the morning to shave, so I could never spend upwards of fifty minutes to apply makeup. Just shave, slap on some lotion, and head out the door. Heck, often times (like now) I don't even bother with shaving and just grow my beard out, lol. Unless they're looking to start a lumberjack inspired boy group, I'm out of luck. 🙃

I do both makeup styles! I am a Latina (🇵🇪) who loves to experiment with the Korean makeup styles. I was so used to the Latin and American makeup styles so when I tried Korean makeup, fashion, skincare, I instantly was in love with it. I love changing up my look so when it comes to makeup, I'm very open to doing any type of style

This is so interesting to see! In Kpop the makeup seems to be more youthful (like the colors and even the places they apply the make up) and in Latin America you see more mature and sexy looks since the colors are are darker and bold :D! They both pulled of both looks so well! Esto es muy interesante! En el Kpop el maquillaje sirve el propósito de mirarse mas joven y inocente (como los tipos de colores y las técnicas) y en el maquillaje Latino Americano hay sentido mas sexy y maduro (como los colores mas oscuros) :D! k but watching this as an asian latina (japanese brazilian) is so much cooler, it's so interesting to see how both cultures contrast with each other, so coool

It is really amazing on how makeup styles emphasize each ethnic facial shape. Koreans tend to have softer and paler face, hence applying only a little bit of makeup and lighter color makes them glow more. But those kind of makeup is quite hard to be seen on darker skin tone, and seems to be to "light. Therefore the latina makeup style enhance darker skin color with bolder makeup. Both of the makeup style looks gorgeous on them!

next time give her the matching shade for the Latina queen

As a Latina myself, this was really interesting to see the difference between Korean and Latin American/American makeup. I agree with Kathy (my nickname is Kathy) American makeup is more pigmented specially, on a lot of brands & it has improved over the years, you just put on there and you’re good. I noticed as well too Latinas always try to get rid of the dark circles under eyes, with the use of concealer & I start under my brows too haha. My way of putting makeup is differently used from both sales, like mascara I put that first & leave eye makeup for last. I can definitely see as a Latina how I definitely using a lot of concealer to get rid of dark circles, and to look more awake. As well with the use of a eyeliner I’d like to get the kind of cat look as well but I shape it like the eyes from the girls from Naruto & fill it more in & a bit thick. I had no idea concealer was even used for a Smokey eye look in eye shadow because I’m not good at it. Seeing this I finally got a better idea how eye shadow is put on.
