No this method is also a good concept because in these type of exams students have to write answers in their own language which is prohibited in many schools. It will improve the education system and will increase the no of ranchodas and will decrease the no of chatur in the schools

I would absolutely agree with you on this particular. School make the students learn the theories till the last bit but never make them familiar with their practical aspects which can have a long lasting effect on their knowledge and the grasp of the subject. Take this for example, when I was in 12th (science), we all were taught about passive electrical components such as resistors, capacitors and transistors which we learnt for the whole year in theories deriving formula, calculating magnitudes and much more. The shocking fact was that, even though, they all were familiar with these components in theory but when at the end of the session, all the students were called out by the teacher to identify the component, leave the calculations and else, they couldn't even identify the components. Such situations are only the due to the lack of practical knowledge of the subject which is its actual application. There are many more facts that can be unvield about our education system. But, let that be the talk of some other day.

@@kaustubh7507 Writing answers in our own language is not prohibited in any school and if the teachers force you to memorize the answers then you can complain to the higher authorities of the school. In my opinion answer writing is a skill and teachers must encourage students to frame their own answers. And if they prioritise practical knowledge more than memorizing stuff then students will not have to search for the answers while writing exams. And searching for answers while writing exam is not a practical way either. It is more time consuming than actually framing the answer. And the conclusion is sometimes memorizing things is actually beneficial for us. Can you do multiplications without memorizing the multiplication tables? Think about it.

Of data than your brain there.....and the things are just 1 click away....you just need to build up the analysing power to solve practical problems rather the proofs of the formulas.....I am a science student and a topper since childhood but the only thing I suffered is that it was very difficult for me to remember lots of data..so I hate organic and inorganic chemistry....but I had the analysing power so I loved physics and math

Seriously, they are just degrading the quality of exam. Teachers syllabus km hone ke wajh se aise hi dhang se ni padhate the , ab to shyd padhan hi chod de, specially 11,12 ke science Teachers. In my school they don't even teach the 12th board level.

Ye bhot achaa hai kyoki ismai copy paste nhi or college or dusri exam ki preparation ke liye notes khud ko hi banane padhte hai it's great 👍🏻👍🏻

Rather they should give calculators in competitive exams and in some exams of class 10 and 12.. If they want ease for students

To reduce students' stress, there is no need to take open book exams. Studies will lose it's importance. Just reduce the syllabus, keep chapters small so that the students do not feel burdensome and can easily learn or remember it! Like if open book exam is also taken for language subjects then students will not learn any new words and they will not be motivated to build their vocabulary.

One thing that worries me is that, the theoretical discussion in earlier classes of 9th and 10th is very shallow, it doesn't expalin the concepts in much depth and so, the scope of good problems based on that theory is very limited. In 11th and 12th though, when the theory is very deep, it would be excellent. Also, it would make learning very enjoyable. Another problem is that most of the school teachers are not competent enough to teach creative problem solving and focus on concepts, so it would need a change in that too!

Open book exams aren't always easy because they need more than just remembering stuff. Even though you can use your materials, you still have to really understand what you're studying, know where to find the right info fast, and think critically to answer questions well. Just having the material with you doesn't mean you'll do well; you still have to understand, think, and put things together quickly, which can be hard.

actually way better than old exams because as the definition or types of questions in old papers are useless cause we have technology but what tech cannot do is thinking and this will improve student thinking a lot. And actually students will take more interests due to these exams. student problem is not they don't like to study but not to be bookworm or learn unnecessary character names, chem equation, physics formula. Baaki jisse padhna nahi hai uske waise hi kuch nahi ho sakta😅

CBSE is lit these days!!🔥 Open book exams should be introduced in entrance exams too... Afterall IITs themselves conduct open book exams then why not in entrance? Just because you couldn't recall a formula, are you dumb? No right, we can just look up to them on internet in the normal course... Just bcuz there are numericals and mcqs in entrance, doesn't mean they are application based and don't glorify "rattafication"

Bro please come out of this delusion that competitive exams need rote learning . They don’t !!! I am sure you haven’t prepared for JEE ever . Bro memorising formulae is the basic block of any studies . Even the people who do research learn formulae .. that doesn’t mean they are RATTU TOTA in today’s cool language . In an exam like JEE Advanced , you won’t get stuck in the paper due to forgetting a formula but due to the fact that you can’t think about the concept of the questions . Even if a students eats all the books given to him/her he won’t even clear the cutoff of JEE Advanced without spending years applying the concepts . Bro you can’t know about everything just by studying in schools . Competitive exams require much much more than memorising formulae . But you won’t understand unless you prepare yourself religiously .

Sir No worries, But Aise examination krane ke liye schools me teacher bhi itte axhe hone chaiye jo topics ko axhe se pda sake...Pehle koi bhi boards wo ye sure kre ki uske school me teachers shi h..

Open book exam concept naya concept nahi hai, India k bahar padhe log isse parichit hain. Samasya open book mein ye hoti hai ki aapko 1. Pata jona chahiye ki ye question kis topic ka kon se chapter se puchha gaya hai taki time rehte aap khoj sakein; 2. Utha k seedha seedha copy nahi kar dena hota, apne shabdon mein, aapne kya samjha, ye likhna padta hai; 3. Passing marks 40% nahi rahega fir. Passing marks usually fir iss case mein 60-70% rehta hai. 4. Agar open book objective/MCQ type exam hai toh woh naam ka open book hota hai. Aapko, suppose, 500-600 questions ki ek booklet mil jayegi, options k saath, unhi 500-600 mein se, lets say, 100 questions ayenge. Aapko booklet de di jayegi exam k 2-3 mahine pehle ki aap practice kar lo. Lekin since unhi 500 mein se as it is 100 questions aane hain toh fir wahi baat ho jaati hai ki passing marks 65-70% rakha jata hai. 🤷‍♂️ aur exam mein booklet nahi le ja sakte. Wo 500 question aur unke answers memorise kariye ya fir concept clear ho aapke taki ratta na maarna pade. But then chances for errors will increase in 2nd case and like i said, aapko paasing marks 65 ya 70 jo bho, wo lana padega. Jo bachche open book sun k khush ho rahe unko ye samjhata chalu ki open book mein error ka margin bahut kam hota hai fir, aapke liye hi dikkat hai.

Bhai you are trying to say ki students ko creative hone me aalas aata hai and exams unko creative bana denge,,,😂creative hona hota toh bhai English (as you said) starting se deep me padho...question banks, even cbse ki website pe study material dekho kabhi kitne creative and out of the box question hai...,ye exam toh bss bahana hai...jisko karna hai voh waise bhi karlega

Many people are saying this is a good idea but if somone uses another book other than the ncert (they said any book and papers are allowed) then they can just write the eam same thing from the book other than ncert and the exam paper checker would think that it is written by his own mind and creativity and would give him marks . if the government realises this then they will not regulate open - book system . Also most invigilators wouldn't do checking well as they would think that there is no way of cheating but somone can just use phone secretly coz they didnt specify if phone is allowed or maybe cheating would be easier . This would surely decrease the memory power rapidly.

बच्चों का नल्ला बनाने का नया तरीका आ गया. अब वह दिन दूर नहीं जब..... बिना चाशनी के जलेबी होगी , , बिना खुशबू के फूल होगा, बिना दिमाग के इंसान होगा... अब या तो ICSC में पढ़ाओ, या घर पर ऐसे पढ़ाओ बच्चों को. के दूसरों से बेहतर बन जाए.

It only happen when teachers teach from 1st classes. It's means that children should stop doing the ratification process from Junior class😢 then it helps students to develop his mind from begning.
