Notes:
-This video only focuses on the main national idents from CBS Television; idents with slogans have been omitted since they were commonly used in bumpers. In some cases, I included idents from bumpers in the 1970s section, since finding footage of the early-mid 1970s idents were tricky.
-The well-known CBS Television Network logo from 1952-68 is not included in this video, because that was used as a closing logo for CBS Productions, not a national ident.
CBS experimented with television from 21st July 1931, where they opened an experimental station in New York City called W2XAB. This was relaunched as WCBS-TV on 1st July 1941, and more CBS television stations followed afterwards. The earliest idents from CBS Television dates from 1947.
