Cayuga Lake Bass Fishing: EKF Tournament (GIANT Bass)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Cayuga Lake Bass Fishing can produce some of the best fishing experiences ever, and this was absolutely the case for myself and some of my friends (both old and newly acquired).
On this adventure on the water my friend Todd and I take just under a week to explore the fishery that is Cayuga, and after day 1 we quickly found a specific spot we liked....so we stayed there for days!
I was on track to potentially win it all, and then something quite tragic happened. Just know that I understand this is a long video...but if you skip around you'll end up missing a lot of crazy and fun/interesting moments! Bust out your favorite beverage or even grab a snack and take some time to take this whole experience in.
So many big fish.
So many amazing memories.
So much love for Cayuga Lake!

Watched start to finish . I've never seen son many 5lbrs in a video. It was crazy. Were there any dinks at all ? 7.12. Then a 7.10. Good damn job bro. Sorry about the ending. You probably would have won. But hey, you'll get back out there. Nice video Kris. 👌

Thanks for watching the entire video. I know it was long, but I kept only some of the best moments. Yes, there were TONS of smaller fish (3lbs and lesser) that never even made it to the video because; 1 hour long video HAH! And yes, I 110% would have won. I would've culled those bottom 3 small fish with 19"-20" fish easily. I was SOOOOO pissed brotha.
Literally the best video I've ever seen.

Thank you so much! I did indeed give it everything I got, and though I kinda screwed myself in the end...I did have the time of my life! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm upset for you brother! But, take everything else good that happened on that Lake for you. You caught some awesome bass and your new PB! Keep your head up, at the end of the day you crushed it and your dad was with you the entire time!! I was up for a kayak tournament a few weeks ago, and also caught my PB. It's an amazing fishery. Tight Lines! 👊😎

Yeah I'm taking all the amazing memories with me for the rest of my life, and also the knowledge and FACT that I was on track to win, 110%. Thanks for watching the whole video and noticing my words about my Dad. I love and miss that guy very much, but felt him with me for those 4 amazing days.
What a rollercoaster of emotions that video was. holy crap, man. I love your enthusiasm for the sport, even when your competitors are catching big fish. Keep your head up. I hope this doesn't hurt for too long.

Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. This trip absolutely changed my life and left such a huge impression on me. So, I try to concentrate on THAT and not the stupid mistake that cost me 4 grand and the “glory” of a victory. 😁 As for my competition…I just purely like to watch people catch some good fish and having fun. Lots of people use fishing as an escape and even a straight up FIX for life, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a fellow human really doing the thing and living the best moment of life. I dunno, I “feel” very strongly 😁 Thanks again so much. Appreciate it
Hated to hear about the 2 vs S thing! Great video though. I just keep it real and about the fun these days.

Yeah even though I lost almost 4 grand because of this (I was going to win 100%) I have to put that all to the side and consider the amazing life experience I had over those 4 days at Cayuga Lake. 110% will be back annually!
Awesome, well done everyone!!!

Awesome, what a fishery! Congrats on that giant PB! I feel for you on the technical mistake. Rules are rules but I would be crushed as well, especially with a giant bag of fish. Don't let that spoil the amazing time you had, what a trip! FYI, they smoke that lipless early spring in NH too. I have caught multiple 5's in April with a red craw lipless. Love the content, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the nice comments! And yeah the technical mistake really really bothered me...still does even. I'm definitely happy as heck about the trip and will go back the first week of May every single year from here on out. It was THAT special to me! 😀 And yep, I'm going to start using that lipless in NH a mega ton more.
Hell yes I love it!

Awesome fishing, know EXACTLY where you guys were, I graduated with the guy that owns the marina you started from. I grew up on that lake and it NEVER produced the amount of 5 and 6 pounders you tournament guys have been catching, must be the weeds from the zebra mussels and the gobi population there now. Glad you enjoyed our area and thank you for posting your fishing here, enjoyed it very much

Oh nice, that Marina was a perfect launch point! I feel the Goby population has REALLY increased the "thickness" of these fish. Honestly, I will be back to Cayuga every single year in the first week of May, if I'm so able to. Place was unreal!! Thanks for the great comment and watching. Appreciate it.

Just an FYI, I'm on vacation this wk so able to watch the MLF bass guys here this wk for their tournament, this morning, 6/8/23 saw the first 7lb+ large mouth caught on Cayuga, by far the small mouth have been dominating the way in but the sun has finally come out and the bigger large mouths have been coming alive. Cool to watch.

@@cnybusdriver129 there was a 7-2 smallie caught by those pros I think yes? Incredible! This is why I pushed so hard to get the video out asap because I knew they were going there 😁 Thanks for the follow up!
Nice pb.

Yeah I heard that happens every year, from the locals.
The lipless so far is Crushing It. 5.11oz. Nice. Tons of bass just a few mins in.

Yeah bro, I fell IN LOVE with a lipless crankbait on this trip. Couldn't believe it!
Awesome fish. Any smallmouth? What exactly happened? What do you mean you switched a s with a 2? Or vis versa?
@MrTightLines
Жыл бұрын
Not a single Smallie while we were there, but those Largies....mannnn, amazing! Yeah, so on our ID cards there's a 4 letter/number combo code they create the night before the tourney, that you write on your ID card. Apparently I switched of two of the identifying number/letters and it then made all my catches irrelevant. I will forever loathe myself for this.... Thanks for watching and commenting!
So many 5lbrs is crazy

Watched the entire video. Were you just straight retrieving the lipless or yo-yoing it?
@MrTightLines
Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching the whole thing! My only question is, you didn't figure that out while watching? hah, just giving ya crap. 99% of the time it was a straight retrieve. I caught a couple with a yo-yo esque style but overall; straight retrieve. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

Get off my spot. Black bridge is the most fished spot on that entire lake

Yeah I did a ton of research leading into this and that bridge was extensively well known. Definitely a community hole, but my oh my is it a magical place! Absolutely fantastic fishery. Changed my dang life 😀 Thanks for watching and commenting.
