    The first wave of Heartless has Necromancers, which automatically makes it absolutely horrible. I made liberal use of Comet to ensure they were dead and that the Mad Rides wouldn't be able to clip me. The valves were in this really just to show anyone wondering how to easily complete them at LV1, since your damage output is much lower than at higher levels. The second Heartless wave isn't too terrible, especially because everything is susceptible to Magnet, which means they're dead because of Final Genie. Both wave 1 and 2 of the Nobodies are a joke. Every one of them is susceptible to Magnet and Thunder, easily two of the best crowd control options in the game (I didn't use them much earlier in the Cavern because a lot of things either don't get sucked up by Magnet or are immune to Thunder), and Stitch refilling MP makes it much more reliable to use for extended periods of time. I also use Rumbling Rose here specifically because I'm going to be using Magnet into Thunder, which means the two Thunders will be considered Finishers (because Magnet always is one) -- they do more damage, launch higher, and can be used immediately after the Magnet. Wave 3 of the Nobodies is where first-time LV1 players will begin to question their dedication to the challenge run, and perhaps even their sanity. Again, Magnet + Thunder kills things pretty safely... until the SORCERORS come in! These spawns of hell will retaliate with an extremely long, wide range homing attack if they are staggered for too long, which means Magnet is extremely dangerous to use on them. However, since they often appear with other enemies around, it becomes extremely dangerous to NOT Magnet, putting you in a lose-lose situation: if you Magnet, the Sorceror murders you, but if you don't Magnet, everything else murders you. Unless you use Genie. Genie offers the perfect solution to this predicament, since not only does he deal a lot of damage, but he can do it in a wide range, AND does so while making you completely invulnerable, meaning Sorceror retaliations aren't a problem. Thus, Magnet into Infinity becomes the go-to strategy whenever a Sorceror is on screen, or maybe hit a Reflect first to open with some damage. This is easily the hardest encounter in the game on a LV1 run without this knowledge, but oddly enough it didn't take me that long to pull off damageless, at least in comparison to other stand-out portions of the run, like Demyx + FF Fights or 1000 Heartless.

  • @relaxedbatter

    I assume you mean the bit at around 6:30 where using Infinity restores a bunch of the Summon Gauge? If so, that's a result of casting Magnet on a nearby enemy right before using the Limit -- enemies that get hit while in Magnet are temporarily knocked out of it, and since Magnet is still up, they get pulled back in and take the damage from getting sucked in. Not only does rack up a lot of extra damage over the course of Magnet's duration, but it refills the Summon Gauge because enemies are being hit by something other than the Limit. This also works to restore Drive Gauge quickly with things like Trinity Limit.

    On the last nobody fight, when you dismiss stitch and get into genie how do you have max drive since you just had stitch out? When I dismiss stitch my drive is at 5 and I can only use 1 genie before my drive is at 2 bars, but you can use two genies and get to the end of the fight easily, why is that? My max drive is also at 8 like you, I don't get it.

  • @relaxedbatter

    Before the fight, I summoned Stitch, then used a Drive Recovery from the menu. Even though I'm currently using Drive for something, this restores my Drive to full, even after Dismissing him.

    How did you have full drive when you had to summon Genie for the first time?

  • @relaxedbatter

    @relaxedbatter

    Жыл бұрын

    If you use a Drive Recovery while a Summon is out, it still refills the Drive Gauge, so when you Dismiss you still have as much as you did when you refilled.

  • @kirkbupkis

    Do I need a full drive gauge of 8 to get through? If I have to fight Sephiroth, Lingering Will, AND Marluxia's Absent Silhouette just to get to the data fights I might honestly give up and just call it good at completing the story 😭😭😭

  • @relaxedbatter

    @relaxedbatter

    2 жыл бұрын

    I wouldn't say you *need* it, but it definitely makes it a lot easier. Remember to use a Drive Recovery after summoning, before the final fight starts, so that when you Dismiss or the Summon runs out naturally, you still have full Drive Gauge.

  • @kirkbupkis

    @kirkbupkis

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@relaxedbatter So I need at least a drive gauge of 6, then? Because at 5 I can only summon Genie once and that leaves me at 2, meaning I need to fill the bar at least once before I can summon Genie again. Are Drive Recoveries usable mid-combat? I don't think I've ever tried.

  • @relaxedbatter

    @relaxedbatter

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@kirkbupkis They're not usable in combat, but you can use one before the fight while a Summon is out. If you wanted to do what I did, yeah you'd need 6 Drive. I personally would go for either Marluxia AS or for finishing Xemnas off for the extra Gauge.

    @@relaxedbatter Update. Zebraman is down but six drive gauges doesn't make things much easier. Everything is a cakewalk up until I have to summon Genie, feels like every time I use reflect I should've used magnet or vise versa and often times the enemies will be stuck too high in the air in magnet for genie's limit to reach them. The sorcerer's cube attacks are so hard to react to and his combo attack is literally longer than my full reflect combo even with Rumbling Rose so if I'm standing next to him when he starts it there's nothing I can do. This is literally so much harder than any of the story bosses and it's a stupid Nobody fight 😭😭😭
