Why did they let this go so far.. Feeding and harassing the horse. The guardsmen should have charged the horse towards him. I 'm waiting for the day a horse is poisoned because the tourists keep their hands in the horses mouth, fingers in their nose and fingers near their eyes. I have nothing but empathy for these animals.

There needs to be an officer at each of these gates. They need to strictly prohibit everyone from feeding the horses. You just never know what one of these drunks or crazies is going to give the animal. My daughters friend had her dog injured by someone who threw a sausage over her fence. When the dog went to eat it, there was a razor inside. Thank goodness the dog recovered.

Mary it truly is disgusting and completely inhumane what people do to animals. I have two German Shepherds and through training they won't touch anything unless it is given by me. Maybe your friend might want to check into training for her dog.

Open your eyes...there are police officers throughout the buildings, courtyard, the side, the front, the back, and SOLDIERS. This is not a circus performance, these are working soldiers and horses!

Thing is, this guy isn’t completely wrong, you get these tourists, who come over and treat our country, and the horseman’s guards, like crap, they are tourists, If we went to there countries and behaved and treated people the way they do to us, it would not be allowed So why is it allowed here, Many of these idiots treat this area like a free (which it is), tourist spot, these guards and horses have a job to do, it’s real Yes, it’s a special moment to have a photo, but do it with respect and courtesy that these guards and horses rightly deserve

I've wondered that in every video... hundreds of pests bothering the poor horses and guards every single day. Grabbing the reigns, not listening to the guards telling them to back off, etc. Millions of pests every year.

He did ask the first guard if he could give the horse polo's before he bought them he nodded yes . But then should of asked the new guard

Pity the drunkard wasn’t trying to harass and abuse Ormonde. His tormenting might have been cut a bit short if he didn’t have a hand left to paw at him with. I’m not sure what orders the Life Guards and Blues & Royals are under when it comes to dealing with intrusive & ludicrous tourists - or even drunken locals still carrying their boozy top up with them. The Royal Horse Artillery are far less reserved when dealing with idiots. And then there was the problem that the jurisdiction of Ministry of Defence Police, with their firearms at the ready, stops at the gates of Horse Guards. The pavement outside comes under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police. But I’m sure if one of the Ministry of Defence police were to, in the process of adjusting his grasp on his automatic weapon, inadvertently, pointed it at the drunk he might have sobered up fairly quickly or decided he’d better just go back to the pub. He really should have been hauled off and hurled in the slammer till he sobered up at the very least. Hardly a great advert for what this country has to offer.

Why do you say that, the horse and the guard were quite calm until people started shouting at the guy, to MOVE. Yes he was drunk but at first he was a funny, he joked about. It was other people who caused him to be angry. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry and it was obvious to me, the guard and the police he was ok until provoked but isn’t everyone?.
