That's because it is. Parents are supposed to be there for you, unconditionally. To have them then turn around and support the person who stabbed you in the back, while making you out to be the bad guy? That's just... There aren't words for it. No word can fully express what kind of person that makes you. There's probably some long german phrase for it, though, so if anyone here speaks german, give us the phrase and a rough translation, thanks!

Ah it happens. My mother did as well. My mother cheated on literally everyone she was ever with. OP better watch that mother. Maybe a DNA test. So my mother made sure to invite my ex over all the time, keep sending her a new number all the time. Because and I quote "you do not leave a woman just because she gets bigger and better dick on the side füccin feggut". So then mom invited my ex for Christmas, I ignored, then surprise surprise she invited my ex' sidepiece. Called me names for doing nothing "a man would act" then when I did do something"a man would not act" then testify against me to make sure I got jail time. Then get mad because"a man would keep paying my rent".

Well, I Brando listened to over thirty, and you are right. Thanks for telling me to. It's life, it's confusing, but this really put it in perspective. I can't get married now. There is no way I can trust a woman now. Even if she is really perfect, it's just a mask. Thanks. Thanks to all the op's, thanks to the dude who types it up for ai to read. Thanks Brando. 20 years and you have only given me the best advice, seriously, I'll take a bullet for ya any day of the year. Thank you all.

My mother always wanted a daughter and didn’t get one. Stories like this scare me. I have a nasty feeling my mother would not disown her son’s cheating spouse like in this story, and it sometimes gives me anxiety about dating and marriage.

I have no Sympathy for my friend's mom and I'm really glad her dad kicked her mom out. For the past 8 months her mom is been cheating on her dad. Mostly he had to cancle 6 family trip, miss my friend's birthday and her dad's birthday, and miss date nights and outings. It was becoming more obvious until her aunt saw her mom kissing a guy at a steakhouse. Then one day she told my friend's dad she been cheating on him for 4 months. Her SIL called out her lying and told her the dad it was 8 months not 4 months. Well 2 weeks later he divorced her and kicked her out since it was his house. My friend cut contact from her mom because her mom didn't want custody of her she said it was fine because SIL more of a mom than her. That left her mom shocked I wasn't suprised because it's true she never asked my friend how was her day or what was happening in her life. Treated her like a chore it's been 10 years and calls her mom by her first name and treats her like a stranger.

11 years? I don’t want to be negative but I find it extremely hard to believe this was the 1 and only time something like this happened.. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 10 years and we’ve definitely had our problems but the thought of even texting another guy behind his back repulses me.. also kind of weird she drank 2 bottles of wine alone?

Birds of a feather, flock together. The mom also cheated and is hoping that her son is just as much a pushover as her husband, so she can continue living with the daughter she lost and never got over.

Honestly tired of these stories where they say it was the love of their life than immediately say they can't continue with them without any thoughts about it, it obviously wasn't the actual love of their life just someone they did love, but do agree parents were in the wrong supporting ex, but OP shouldn't be dishonest in his initial sayings and his regrets about being with her all along as no one would say that about someone they felt was their true love
