Adventurer and photographer Geoff Mackley travels to Sicily for shots of Mt. Etna. But Mackley is caught off guard when the volcano erupts and he's forced to dance through falling drops of molten lava. (From Discovery Channel's "Weather Rampage")

Well, they just reflect some of the heat, it does nothing if he actually makes contact with the lava. The heat is just to extreme.
