Great review. I got both and love both. It's my first time using the Synthesis as much as I have. I still give the nod to the Sheath though. But, I'm using both of them depending on my mood. Still the best cases around.

Yeah it’s a different design for sure so it’s something to get use to.

I want a new case because I bought a silicone one and it always catches in my pocket and its hard to take out or put my phone back in. Do either of these feel like that?

Does the smooth unlined inside scratch the back glass or Apple logo over time? Thanks.

I believe the synthesis’ camera cutout is designed to ease wiping of the camera lenses with a cloth/shirt.

how would you rate the Caudade screen protection?

Caudabe rates both cases with same drop protection so is the synthesis really that much more protective? I have a phone rebel gen4 and Apple leather. My problem is that while the gen4 is better for drop protection, it NEEDS TO BE because it’s way slicker than the Apple leather and I drop it more. Curious between the sheath and synthesis which is more protective AND grippier. I can’t stand slick cases on a max sized phone!

The only gripe I have with the Sheath is that I keep my phone in my back pocket while working and the edges around the back wear into a different color. Like the finish is rubbing smooth. I bought a new one and it only took a few days for this to happen to my new sheath as well.

Thank you I love your reviews! Can you please tell me if the texture of the sheath feels like the texture of the Caseology Vault? Or is it even better? Would love to order it but I live in Europe and delivery is too expensive to send it back, thus have to be very sure about it 😆

I loved my old iPhone X otter box symmetry because of the hard textured plastic back. Are these cases similar? The new symmetry’s are grippy and I like my pockets to stay inside.

The Sheath is my favorite case for iPhone 14 Pro Max, hands down!! I returned the Pitaka MageEz 3 Pro, the Phone Rebel carbon fiber scratched after a day of use and the Mous Limitless 5 is too bulky for me.

Thanks for your always awesome and informative videos! They're a great help in my quest to find the perfect case for my iPhone. BTW, I bought the Benks case and loved it, but it's starting to peel. Benks uses some form of coating that's starting to peel off of the corners of my case. I'm not sure if you've experienced it at all. If anyone can get their attention and make them take a look at the issue, it's you.

I got the amethyst Sheath and Synthesis. I really like the grip of the Synthesis but for the money you can’t beat the Sheath. My gold 14 max looks really dope in these cases.

I bought both and chose the Synthesis over the Sheath, which was opposite of my expectation. The grip on the Synthesis felt great and the case felt slightly slimmer in my hand.

Synthesis does pull on the sides like the sheath does , like synthesis more.

I have a synthesis right now. First time trying it. Had the sheath last year and can’t wait until the crimson sheath comes out to get that. I can’t wait to try the sheath this year! Great video bro 💪🏼

I’d keep both, honestly. They’re both excellent cases and they’re priced very well. Both are a bit different so you can have room for both.

I’m using caudabe synthesis. But I also suggest putting on a tempered glass protector. I’ve dropped my phone 3-4x already on concrete and it’s protected my iPhone so far. The only thing that cracked was the tempered glass screen protector, but it’s better than having a cracked screen.

@@biancabernardes4705 yeah i tried wiping it off with water/alcohol and micro fiber cloth it did got off at some point ..i put it in my pocket puti down on the table and so on and it just came back not much of a notice by a glance but if you really looked at it you'll definitely see it..

Both are great, but I prefer the sheath. The sheaths buttons are more tactile. And I just prefer the aesthetics more on the sheath.

I got the sheath from your recommendation and love it. Also got the phone rebel 4, I like it also but one thing I noticed when talking on the phone the raised corners kind of cut into my face and ear, they are not very comfortable when on phone.

I had to send back the Sheath because the magents were weak.. they claimed stronger than apples but I hit one but in my semi and it flew off the mount.. idk how Tee is picking up that Nomad brick of a base when it couldn’t even stay on my Apple MagSafe puck charger mount set up..

Currently using nomad rugged, but might make a switch to the sheath if it doesn’t scratch as easy. How would protection be compared between the 2 (nomad v sheath)?

Nomad rugged and the sheath are in the two different leagues as the nomad rugged for sure is more thick. I do think the Sheath is more refined though.

They really improved the magnets on the Sheath but that made the back thicker than last year. Now it’s thicker than Synthesis, Apple silicone & leather cases, Spigen Mag Armor, etc.

I have both and honestly you have to be splitting hairs to really notice a difference. All of those cases are virtually identical in thickness in the hand. And the texture on the Sheath beats anything on Apple or Spigen cases, but that's just my opinion.

@@GrayRed321 I do feel the difference in thickness. So they’re not virtually identical to me. However, Sheath is still one of my favourites because of the texture, and also the slim width. It’s thicker on the back but the sides are still slimmer than Synthesis.

Yessir. I think it was a different one in the video but yeah it’s a nomad sport band. Always me go to’s.

Sadly we in Sweden aren´t able to buy the Caudabe case without extra costs that is to chip it here. In the end it´t not worth it :(

Got the Sheath about a week ago. Love the grip but wish the case were a bit thinner, even if it meant less drop protection. Overall happy with it though and it’s my new default.

I've had Sheaths for the 6S, the XS, and now 14 Pro, and this one is way thicker than the previous years. I actually dislike how thick it is. Has me considering the Veil but the drop protection is pretty important to me. Tough call.

I wish the sheath came with the textured sides instead of the synthesis!

Not to toot our own horn, but our magnets put the Apple silicone cases to shame. And we're not just saying that. By any objective measure of magnetic strength, our magnets are stronger. :)

After 6 months of owning the Synthesis, the outer edges where the buttons are, more so on the power button, is warped out a bit as if it's bit stretched. I don't play with my case, just use it to it's potential and although I love the Synthesis, it bothers me. I asked for a replacement and they recommended me an exchange for the Sheath as it is more stiffer in terms of the edges where the buttons are. They would give me another Synthesis as well, but I think I might try out the Sheath this time.

Had the same thing happen to me but with the Sheath. Mine stretched/slightly warped on the volume side. Only had it for a few months but Caudabe is sending me another one. I have the synthesis as well and might stick to that a bit more moving forward

@@72dolfanjorge oh shoot no way.. so if both the sheath and the synthesis do that.. I’m really hoping the sheath replacement last a bit longer than the synthesis or else I’ll find myself doing another exchange. I do like the camera cutout & harder texture on the synthesis, but like the thinness of the sheath so far. I had my synthesis for about 4 months before it started warping.. cases are fantastic but that’s the only downside.

@@JADB03 I find the synthesis to be thinner and lighter plus I love the camera lip it has with the side grips too. But then back of the synthesis is a bit too slippery. The grip on the sheath all round is better but I find it not as secure overall. But agreed I think both are great with some minor drawbacks

I love everything about the Sheath except one thing and that is the texture. If my hands are dry I CANNOT hold that case something about it is like nails on a chalkboard to me. It annoys me because I love the case.

Yeah either you love or hate the texture. It’s mixed reviews across the board but I hear more positive than negatives.

So this is definitely a personal preference thing, but the texture does need a "break in" period. We always tell customers who've voiced this feedback to just continue to use the case for a couple of weeks. The texture conforms to the contours of your hand as you use the case more. This seems to do the trick for almost everyone we've mentioned it to. :) Give it a shot!

@@getcaudabe The other Sheaths that I’ve had on my iPhone 11 and 12 it never really changed for me. But if I give it another shot I’ll remember that. With that said I just bought a Synthesis today I also love that case. Keep up the great work.

Got both cases based on this review. Synthesis feels better in my hands though. Better grip on the sides, lighter beautiful case.

@@a.d.c7941 Synthesis for sure. I bought both but the weight and the grip of the Synthesis is the reason i use it 90% of the time. The Sheath is very nice and softer feel but i like the grips on the side of the Synthesis way more and it never slips out of my hand.

Couldn't decide which one to get, so I got both with 30% off : )

So I tried the case based on your review. The product was okay until it started to rip at the seam. Thankfully they replaced with a warranty claim. But still not satisfied with the quality. Also a significant flex in the synthesis product.
