Caucasian Weapons - Private Georgian Weapon Museum
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hello folks! I have long wanted to visit the private museum of cold weapons of the Caucasus and not only. It is located in the old historical part of the city. This museum was created by the hands of one person and it is not big, but very impressive. There are various blades, ancient Caucasian daggers, swords, axes and many other interesting things!
How to get to this museum in Tbilisi, here is the map bit.ly/3GAcHO9
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

Thank you so much for the tour. I've noticed that Caucasian daggers are like the Roman gladius. Also, I noticed the similarity of Georgian muskets and those made in Philadelphia in Colonial America.
Great collection and thanks for sharing with us and enjoy watching it and so relaxing 👍

This short video gives me such a new appreciation of why you choose to finish your blades and scabbards the way you do. I'm not going to lie, I have a "Western" point of view. Seeing why you make the choices do, really broadens my perspective, and I'm here for all of that.
Hym... The collection of weapons from many centuries. Long, long history of fearless warriors stands behind all of this, as I suppose...

Привет, спасибо. Возможно)
thanks, that was interesting, the shape and design of many of those blades clearly has influences from Europe and Asia, some of it very old, Greek, Roman and Byzantine is evident in a few of them along with Ottoman influences and Arabic as well, very cool. made me read up on some of the history of Georgia and now can understand why these have evolved how they have, are the old buildings etc in the cities of similar influeences?

It's a cylinder is a paper cylinder for storing a charge for an old rifle: that is, a ready-made tube with a bullet and the right amount of gunpowder. This was relevant until a new bullet with a cartridge case came. But this element remained on the Georgian national dress and other Caucasian peoples.

1:34 The American flag pictured is actually the 38 star flag.......it doesnt belong in the Civil War area because it was a flag from 1877-1890, not during the civil war. It has 38 stars because those stars represent states in the union. At the start of the Civil War, there were only 34 states, so the flag would not have contained 38 stars. Just pointing it out. As an American, I was shocked to see that included in the display, and it gave me a chance to learn something, I had never seen that flag before.

Hi! I don't rule it out, because a lot of things were mixed up in the Middle Ages. For example, there are still some words in the Georgian language that are of Arabic origin. Thank you, yes Tbilisi is beautiful, it still has that old flavor. Although new buildings in the city spoil everything
Is that the same Caucasian broadsword blade at 3:41 that's in your newest video? If not it looks practically identical 😮 Those katana at 6:48 are not authentic. I don't know why they'd be in a museum.
Beware the fakes. I bought a Qama in an Afghan import store for $150. Two rivets in the handle, it looked like a full tang. However, the first time I tried it out on a hay bale, the blade came off. There was no tang at all, just a half inch bit of metal glued into the handle. Obviously manufactured as a souvenir for the tourist trade.
