In this video lets see how to make tasty chowchow poriyal recipe in Tamil/ chayote recipe. This Chowchow poriyal /Chayote stir fry is a tasty side dish recipe. Normally we make chowchow sambar, chowchow kootu with chowchow. But for a change try this simple and tasty chowchow poriyal recipe. In this poriyal recipe, freshly prepared coconut based mixture is added which enhances the taste of this poriyal. This chowchow stir fry can be served as a side dish for all rice varieties. Do try this healthy and tasty chowchow poriyal recipe at home and share your feedback.
Ingredients :
1. Chow chow / Chayote - 500 grams (chopped)
2. Oil - 3 tsp
3. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
4. Urad dal - 1 tsp
5. Channa dal - 1 tsp
6. Few curry leaves
7. Onion - 1/4 cup (chopped)
8. Garlic - 2 Nos (chopped)
9. Salt to taste
10. Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
11. Green chillies - 2 Nos (chopped)
12. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
13. Few coriander leaves
