All I can say is that cats in Turkey are very Lucky.

I’m from Australia and on my several visits to Istanbul, I have bought tins of pet food from the supermarkets to feed the cats and dogs. I’m sure they appreciated it.

Istanbul is in my Bucket list! I WANT TO GO! I ❤️ CATS!

We were in Antalya and I fed dogs and especially cats every day.I have a BKH myself. I love these animals. Thank you very much best Rgards from Germany🤓✌🏻🐕🐈❤️❤️

Let me correct something. "cats are luckier because of the religion..." this assumption is not true. in islam, they mostly like cats but not because of their love for animals, just because their prophet loved cats. but in Turkey, we love every animal, dogs, birds and cats which live in the streets. arabs hate dogs and kill them, they think dogs spoile their prayers if it passes before them when they are praying. its all about Turkish culture, and ancient religion. its still in our cultural genes to respect and love animals. it has nothing to do with islam. those people who saw that wounded dog and did nothing are classic "turkarabs" who has forgot their code. Luckily, we have internet now. Press destroyed the chains of the church and set Europeans free, internet will break the same chains of Turks and set them free from arabic fairy tales. (thanx to islamist government, lots of young people have left islam already now.)

Bizim dinci yobaz tayfanın da aslında hayvan sevgisi konusunda sabıkaları oldukça kabarık. Normal halktan bahsetmiyorum. Ama kafayı bu tarikatlarla felan yemiş insanların sicilleri bu tip konularda felaket.
