LA CATRINA, SYMBOL OF MEXICAN CULTURE 🇲🇽💀 Originally called Calavera Garbancera, and baptized with the name "Catrina" is one of the most representative icons of Mexican culture. Famous internationally for the Day of the Dead in Mexico, its origin dates back to the Porfiriato era, where the journalist Jose Guadalupe Posada, created it with the name of Calavera Garbancera, representing the catrines who were people of the upper social class who lived an utopia, imitating a way of life that resembled the European, which basically rejected everything that meant indigenous origin, these were represented as catrines in the newspapers of the time as criticizing the high society of the Porfirist Mexico, prior to the Revolution Mexican Today, "La Catrina", adorned with beautiful hats and flowers, is a source of inspiration at many costume parties, both inside and outside of Mexico.
