Until Adora reaches her hand to Catra and realises it was all a hologram and Adora almost dies and gets shoved into the void 😥 but then Catra says "please, just this once, stay!" and grabs her hand and Adora wakes up and says "u love me?" "you're such an idiot" "I love u 2" and they kiss and only then it's the happy ending 😁 but it's actually sad because the show ended 😭 and you simp for Catra for the rest of your life 🙂

Adora actually stands up to Shadow Weaver for her every time she's rude to Catra and barely ever listens to her, especially when she yells at her at the end of 'Failsafe' It's pretty refreshing to see.

Like, yes, Adora was being manipulated and emotionally abused for her entire life and when she left the Horde she finally learned to stand up for herself and the people she cared about and realize how messed-up her upbringing was. But also, uh. Coming at Catra with "I just noticed the person who I regularly watched torment and threaten to murder you while you were a child isn't a good person" and then basically saying "so I'm walking out on everything we ever talked about doing together to hang with these people I just met, and you can come along if you want" was kind of a shitty move. Like, I'm not saying "Catra did nothing wrong" or "Adora is the real villain here!" Adora was, at every point, doing the best she could as she understood it. Just that what she wound up doing did give Catra reason to think Adora didn't care. And given how important Adora had been in her life, it's not that surprising she responded badly.

You know there's something really wrong when your lover says "Hello Adora" instead of "Hey Adora"
