I agree. Every priest should give a sermon like this. ( i say sermon instead of homily because in Matthew, it is called the Sermon on the Mount, not homily on the mount.)😅

Thank you, Fr. Mike - this was a home run! I wish our country had more priests who delivered such an affirming homily like yours. Agreed - this is not the month of pride (thinking of this title given by the secular world makes me nauseous) - this is the month of martyrs, as well as the Sacred Heart. It was awesome to hear how the Lord answered your prayers. I feel certain you will work on building upon this for the defense and maintenance of our Church.

I always ask myself, what can I do, what can I do, and then I hear that beautiful voice echoing across the milleniums, from Cana, "Do what He tells you !"

Father Mike, I saw a stat this past week where 145 days out of this calendar year many are recognizing/celebrating everything LGBQTGHLD. 39.7% of our year many are celebrating SIN. The dark prince of the earth, if he could be happy, is smiling. Ironically, he hates those he has tempted to celebrate sin. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Sacred Heart of Jesus, save us!

If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification. Let’s look at some basic fundamental facts based on extensive research & ongoing R&D. During fetal development a verity of biochemical agents are introduced which determine the development of the fetus. Research has shown that major agents such as testosterone & estrogen & a host of others agents determine size, weight, hair color, eye color & sexuality along with a host of other traits. Variations in the amount & timing of the introduction of these agents have a major effect in development. The fetus is a passive participant & has no influence in these matters. Sexuality, for example, & all other secondary traits are thus given to us. Well, this begs the question, is homosexuality a sin since there is no choice offered. If your religion or belief system states that it is a sin, then there can be no argument. These are the rules based on this system’s dogma. If you accept this system, you must accept the rules. This is your only choice which doesn’t include options & exceptions. Rules are rules! If, however, you are in a belief system based on logic, reason, observation & common sense, & no reliance on spirituality or religion, the conclusion is totally different. Replacing ancient religion & mythology & superstition with reason leads to another conclusion. Leaving religions that use condemnation & ridicule for control, can be the first step in becoming a true human being minus any imposed or fabricated guilt. There exist many variations of human sexual expression as well in the animal kingdom. When you leave various ancient religious beliefs behind & chose knowledge based in research, you can see & understand the true nature of humanity. You leave ignorance, hatred, & prejudice behind. In the book Gay Straight & the Reason Why by Simon Levay PhD, explanations regarding this aspect of humanity are clearly explained & is based on research. While I am not gay, I highly recommend this book & the numerous articles. Being gay is no more of a sin than having red hair. They are both determined by genetics & clearly not a sin. There is nothing wrong with you. This is the true choice. Peace

Father Mike, point #2. I have been told I don't have the right to speak about sin and its consequences. My response is/was, "If I were ordained, would I have that right?" (EZK 33:7-9) People simply don't want their apple carts upset. DO SOMETHING! That's why we belong to the Apostolic Tradition. It is our purpose.

Fr. Mike, thank you for being our Heavenly Father's 🙌 voice and for sharing / evangelizing His truths. May you continue to be showered with God's Abundant blessings, wisdom, discernment, bold courage, care and love for speaking His truth🛐. I too heard God speak to my heart loud and clear when I was feeling so defeated for not being a better teacher of God's truth to my children growing up. Like your experience I would repeatedly feel greater defeat and failure as a parent. God told me "you are not dead". I immediately began using the gift of "string" texting my children, grandchildren to share God's Word and my reflection every day at 830 a.m. Some of them have told me they miss my text when I don't send it at 830! It is truly a work in progress ❣️

My thanks from Cincinnati! Father, we have a beautiful fountain here called Tyler Davidson Fountain in our downtown square. On top is a woman with both hands extended, where the main sprays of water shoot to the other tiers. It looks very much like the image of the Miraculous Medal . I am praying always try his Fountain of New Life will fill our country, and our dear young folks. Instead of the trough of this sea, New Life! Dolores Soluski❤❤

True and Holy priest giving a sermon that should be heard everywhere in a gorgeous, actually sacred Catholic Church with faithful people filling the pews! This is how it should be everywhere! What a blessing ❤️🙏 Thank you from MN for sharing this-

The devil is hard at work in our society trying to undermine souls by creating "holidays" that are counter to our traditional, religious observances and are abhorrent to God. IMHO, we must refuse to acknowledge these "holidays" and turn our entire efforts into openly and very vocally reminding the world that we celebrate God's will and His commands and repeatedly WARN of the dangers in complacency to the very things (deadly sins) that God tells us, will keep us all forever apart, from Him.

Peace
